Hi everyone, I'm a stay at home mum to a 22 month old and a 3 month old.

I've just enquired about enrolled nursing course 18 mths full time, study 3 days a week through navitas.
What's the entrance test like. As in the aptitude test , the maths part. Bit worried. Haven't been to school since 1990 lol

    Any help would be appreciated.

Im also worried that I won't be able to do it?
Haven't they sent you an example test? I've got one through TAFE that i can send you if you like?

It's just basic maths really - addition of numbers containing decimals, converting fractions to decimals, division, multiplication, etc..

No, you're not dumb. It's basic maths but i seriously hadn't done some of it since primary school so i was a bit clueless and had to do some googling to give myself a refresher.
I've been practising a bit too- have my exam on the 17th.

Know what you mean as well. My preceptor in my final semester completely wrecked my confidence in absolutely everything and never got a chance to build it back up, so will be interesting how that goes....

Figured all I can do, is ask questions and follow policies/protocols.

Bugger. It's the same down here, although I have heard Brisbane is even worse. Hope something comes up soon for you.

It's horrible how they do that isn't it. I mean I understand if there is a need, but they really need to be mindful of how they are sending us out into the employment world. That is why I was so grateful to have such wonderful educators at my placement this year. I know if I need to I can call one of them at any point this year even though I am no longer at that hospital and just debrief with her if/when I need to. I am sure it won't take you long to be bounding along again.

I know. The worst part was she never told me or my university clinical lecturer about any problems she had with my work, she told another a midwife who then told me. So I was thinking everything was fine and dandy because I hadn't be told anything
