it's supposedly a boy name, but i have met a grand total of one bailey, and she's a girl. so i can see the argument for it as a boy name but for me personally it sits better on a girl.

I've met a few girl Baileys but all spelt Bailee

I think it's a unisex name and not either boy or girl!!!

My first thought is boy. But you could use it for either nowadays.

    It's a surname first I reckon. Then a unisex name I guess?

Definitely unisex. I've known a lot of either gender with it.

My brother is Bailey, so I see it as a boys name but I do know a girl Bailey too (spelled Baylee, but I like the original spelling for both sexes)

DS1 is Bailey - I was talking to the CHN the other day and apparently she has seen more girl Bayleighs lately but usually with the alternate spelling for girls and the other 'normal' spelling for boys.
