Hi Ladies, I have a question for all the drinkers out there.

At what stage do you stop all alcohol. When you start BC or before, maybe you stop when you start stimming? Some may even drink up until transfer? Please not this is in no way a dig, I'm just curious. Last time I stopped when I started bc (I think) I am a heavy drinker and am finding it hard to find the will to stop this time (think its because I dont have dates yet so it doesnt feel very real yet).

    Hi Ladies

I hope you don't mind if I join you all. I sadly recognise a few names from the December thread

I've just got off the back of another failed cycle and will be resting a cycle possibly 2 until I go back for a full stim cycle. So was hoping to wait with you guys so I don't go mad!!

    Hope you are all well!!

    Hi Ladies

I hope you are all going well, whatever stage you are up to

Welcome HopefulJen, I am so very sorry to hear about your failed cycle. I hope you body is all ready to bounce back and give you your BFP after a rest

Hi Intrigue, on my last cycle I stopped drinking as soon as we were told we should do IVF (we started the pill to bring on my cycle) so that was about 6 weeks before EPU...I also didn't drink coffee but I still got a BFN. This time it will probably be about 8 weeks (except for 1/2 glass of wine at Christmas) until EPU but I'm not a real big drinker anyway...I stuggle more with the no coffee! This time I've had a couple of 1/2 strength coffees in the leadup as well. I hope that helps, everyone is so different and I'm sure you do what you think is best.

tamandmarc. I'm sorry to hear that your December cycle didn't work. Fingers crossed for a BFP on your FET. Do you mind if I ask where abouts you are doing your Acupuncture? I am in Brisbane and am thinking I might like to also do this to aid this cycle for me. I am going to start Yoga next week just to relax in the lead up to my EPU on the 27th, my friend who got a BFP on her first cycle said she really found Yoga helped her relax.

Hi Bonbon! Yeah to finally starting jabbing, its great to be 'doing something' instead of just waiting isn't it? I hope you are feeling well still.

Midnite, good luck in your weightloss goal...I am sure that waiting until you feel healthier will be the right thing for that 6 day blasty and it will LOVE stuggling into you

Jaseandalyson, I am sure that your FS knows what he is doing increasing your dose to that much... it leads to some frosties for you this time as well as a BFP!! I hope you don't get too many side effects though I havent heard of Spirulina tablets, what are they supposed to do? We eat spirulina biscuits (from Aldi ~ yummy yum yum)...never bothered to look into the health benefits though...

Hope I am sorry to hear about your 'friend', some people honestly don't think do they?! I agree, life is too short to have people like that in your life who just don't seem to care enough about you to realise that hearing this news would be hard for you. In saying that I had to see the councillor after my last BFN as I was having issues with anger, not that we had failed (I knew this ould be a possibility) but that I had two 'friends' who WAY back nearly 3 years ago I spoke to about my concerns with my missing period and how we were trying to have another baby and then within 3 weeks of each other last year announced to us that they were both expecting without even asking how we were doing. My councellor was so good though, she said that they were not being mean (if they were friends) and probably just didn't know how to talk to me about our problems and it was up to me if I wanted to keep the friendships to talk to them about how hurt I was. It took a lot of courage and a while for me to work past why I had to do the reaching out but I finally had the talk with them separately and while I'm still sad that I'm not in the position they are it made me feel so much better after talking to them and realising that they just honestly didn't know what to say to us...and felt just as badly about us not having a baby as we did.

Hi lannie, how are you going? Glad you've got some dates to look forward to, only a few days away now I guess your FS knows what they are doing, it seemed like you had a great haul on your last cycle so fingers crossed the HA makes all the difference this cycle AND you'll get some frosties as well Yes the positive affirmations this time seem to be really helping...not at all worried about my SIL I just KNOW we will all get there too!!

lol CG, I love the image of you 'soaking up' pregnancy vibes! I ran into a pregnant friend on Tuesday and normally I avoid looking at her growing belly but now I'm looking and mentally 'soaking up' too!!

How's things going Tiger Queen, Akakura, Bear & Mum and Peejay and anyone else I've missed?

AFM - Going in for my Day 9 blood test and scan tomorrow, I hope to see some action...I am beginning to feel rather uncomfortable down there at the moment, I'm sitting here with my pants top button undone! If everything is on track I will have my EPU next Friday. I'll be back tomorrow to let you know how I go

Buttercup, all good with me. I had to go for a blood test today due to cramping in lower back and abdomen. My AMH was 20 before we started Gonal F, and although I as unaware I have PCOS. Test results should be back Tomoz. Day 9 scan scaduled for Monday, and if all goes well EPU WED.
Hope your scan goes well tomorrow. Looks like your cycle will be a bit longer than mine.
Did anyone lse experience their AF stopping when they started Gonal F? Mine normally lasts 8 days at least, and I started Gonal on mon, and have not bled since tues. therefore my AF was only 3 days!

    Hi All,

I really should be in bed as I’ve got a scan at 8am tomorrow but since I haven’t posted in ages I thought I really should! Nice to see some familiar names popping up for Feb IVF, but can’t believe how unlucky December IVF was!! 2012 will be our year for babies (my positive affirmation contribution )

Buttercup – Good luck for ur scan tomorrow! That was a really nice bit of advice you gave hope about dealing with insensitive ‘friends’ thanks for sharing .

Hopefuljen – here we are again! Glad to have u around while ur having a rest cycle or two

Intrigue – I struggle with giving up wine! With my stim cycle I stopped when I got AF and didn’t drink at all until AF showed up again. With this FET cycle I had a glass of wine lastnite and I’m CD7 today. I have a wedding on Saturday so will try a limit my drinking but it will be hard!! I figure with FET my eggs are just sitting in the freezer so I don’t need to worry too much about egg quality like in a stim cycle. That is my justification to myself. I will not have any to drink after Saturday tho, especially after ET.

Big hello to all the other ladies, I will try and do some more personals tomorrow after my scan, which should give me a better indication of when ET will be.

    Hi all!

Tigerqueen, I hope you BT was ok? Do they know why you are getting cramping? I saw (I think) on another thread that you are getting quite bad labour like pains?! What is your FS saying about this? I hope all is ok Sorry I can't help with your AF question, I stopped getting periods after having DS so no longer pay any attention to what it is doing as it is all brought on by medication for me anyway, I wonder if thats why you are getting cramping

Hi Akakura , how did you scan go today? I hope all is on track for you! I am glad you found my 'friend' story helpful, I can't believe how much better I feel after talking to them...sleeping better and just overall happier...anger really does get you down...

AFM ~ Had my scan this morning and have 24 follies growing! Today was my Day 9 scan and I will hear this arvo if I am going to the full 14 days of Gonal F. I was really shocked though, my last cycle I was on 375 Gonal F for 12 days which produced 22 follies and 19 eggs and this time my FS wanted to down my FSH to 300 over 14 days in the hope that we would get less follies but better quality eggs but already on day 9 I'm at 24?! What is going on??? I'm really concerned...but I guess I won't know anything until they review the BT results this arvo as wel...just have to wait.

to us all and my positive affirmation today...whilst sitting in traffic trying to get to my scan this morning I was rubbing my belly mentally telling it to get ready to be pregnant again!

    Hello Ladies

Buttercup – Thanks for your kind welcome, gosh I hope my body will be ready soon, and I’m hoping on shifting a bit of weight before I next cycle!! Oh my goodness 24 follies, no wonder you were staring to feel a bit uncomfortable!! Have you heard back from the clinic yet? All set for Friday??

Tigerqueen – Hi there! Have you heard back from FC with your results, hope you are feeling a bit better today!

Aka – Thanks so much Aka, hoping this time we graduate to bump buddies and not just cycle buddies!! How did your appt go today, any news on FET date?

Hope everyone is doing well, will read back and see where you are all up to!

AFM – Coming to peace with our failed cycle, and looking forward to the future now. I think that I might not actually be starting til early March, so I hope you don’t mind if I stay here and cheer you guys on! Started my new exercise regime today and am feeling great!!

I am loving the positive affirmations, I pushed myself harder while exercising as I am preparing my body and getting healthier for my future baby.

Hopefuljen and buttercup 80, I had a blood test, and the estrogen came back ok. I just have to continue on, and if the pain gets really severe, then I just have to call again. I am not big on pain killers, so am just putting up with it atm. Fingers crossed I will make it through ok to WED. Thx for your concern.

    Hi Buttercup,

Spirulina is a superfood supplement, full of all the good stuff. I can tell if I havent taken it. It is a awful green colour you can get it in tablet form or powder I use the tablets you can take anywhere up to 18 per day. I take 6 this is for general wellbeing. I think only athletes take 18 per day.

    Good morning ladies

Hi hopefuljen ~ I love your positive affirmations whilst exercising, what a great goal for us all! I have also started going to the gym, it is so quick to put on weight during this whole IVF process isn't it?

Hey Tigerqueen, I hope the pain is manageable until Wednesday for you

    Thanks for the information jasandalyson

AFM ~ Heard from the clinic yesterday afternoon, I am to continue on 300 and back in for a scan and BT on Monday. I just hope all is ok, what a bizarre cycle...less FSH and MORE follies?! Has anyone else had this happen? I am just so nervous we end up in the same boat as my first cycle ~ 19 eggs and only 1 blasty, no frosties and BFN!!
