Default Is this the correct etiquette?

We are supposed to be going to a wedding in 6 days and today my husband and I separated. I'm in practical mode so am thinking that I need to let the bride know. They are my husband's work mates but knowing him he would forget to cancel on my behalf or would do so at the last minute. I feel this would be really unfair on the bride and groom and thought that I should send her a quick email with my apologies. Obviously I will not be attending. Is this ok? I know as a former bride I would have been p*ssed that someone didn't let me know prior to the wedding.

Yes! I think given the situation no one could possibly blame you.

Thanks girls! Sound advice as usual. I've sent the email- pretty happy I didn't waste my money on a dress already! Cheers.
