oh yes heartbreaking .. but somehow good news at the same time? I have never stopped feeling emotion for that family ... and it just got more intense when I had my own children - they really have felt pain that a parent should never EVER have to feel..

so I would say my top two for the year would be the Morcombe Family and their journey and the nature disasters .. being in Brissie it was the worst start to the year possible for so many areas we were blessed - no flooding, but our family did what we could to help others who did flood

    What effected us.

Queensland floods, truly had me upset. And the fact the floods were starting in Melbourne, just made it scarier.

London Riots - My DH is from Glasgow, Scotland. Everything he saw only made him worry about his family and loved ones, and the rumors of A-holes trying to spark riots in Glasgow made him more frightened.

Will and Kate's Wedding - I think this was something that really made me happy. So much devastation going on in the world, it was just nice to have something nice happening.

    Floods up here
The closure (finally) of the Daniel Morcombe Case

    ...and The Royal Wedding

None of these things affected me as much as some personal disasters involving my family and friends this year. However out of all the "big stuff" in the news that happened, those are my top 3 .
