Just wondering if anyone has either of her books?

yeh I used to watch her on biggest loser and thought she was lovely. and i love her on good chef bad chef.

I am a chef but cook more like Adrian most 'healthy' recipes are boring, but she seems pretty on the ball.

Which book do you have - the elixor one or the new one?

yeh she is a bit each time she sees a bit of butter/fat, but i figure she is smart, knows her sh1t and hopefully she can help me trim down a bit. She is qualified naturopath and done alot of work with TCM so that side of things I find super interesting. I don't liek michelle bridges and ppl like that who just calorie count. I like that she knows the medicinal value of food and why to include certain things.

I have borrowed Elixir a few times from my local library. Rather than being a cookbook, it is an A-Z of healthy ingredients and their medicinal qualities. I like her approach to food and health.

I just got a Readers Digest Low GI cookbook so DH and I are going to try it out and see if it has any discernible effect on our waistlines, but my point is, a lot of the recipes in this book remind me of Janella's cooking with very whole, raw ingredients, legumes, quinoa etc. Good luck!
