It sucks. I was losing anywhere between .5-1.5kgs per week, now last 2 weeks i've lost only .3kgs. Don't know how else to up the anti and get somemore cardio without damaging the knee.

That's a great thing that your diet has increased. I'm the same as you. Since i've hurt my knee, my excercise routine isn't what it use to be. I'm sure you will find the motivation and start back up again. But I can understand with the stress of packing and moving, you really can't be bothered with anything else. Definitely don't blame you for that.
that really sucks about your knee walking/jogging/running i find is the best exercise for weight loss, so it's really frustrating that you can't do that! dont blame yourself though, it's not like you can do it but are choosing not to. swimming is probably the best thing for your knee though. i find swimming way harder than jogging haha. could you do ab workouts or anything? i have an ab bootcamp dvd by billy blanks and i love it.

Yay for you! A loss is is definitely better than a gain, so good for you. Keep up the great work.

Thanks Hun. It really does suck. I loved losing the big numbers and now it's down to .3-.5kgs per week. Although in saying that, I just weighed myself on my Wii Fit and i've lost .9kgs! So i'm now 97kgs exactly, but i'll go by what the scales say at Jenny Craig this arvo. At least I know that since i've lost weight on the Wii scales I know i've lost weight on the JC scales.

I do try and get some swimming in when I can at my parents place, and i'm now seeing a Physio for my knee and he's given me some exercises to do. But I'm thinking of taking up Pilates again. It's low impact and really gives you a great work out. Last time I did it my DH came in and thought I was doing something else I was sweating that much. My girlfriend gave me that dvd set to and i've never touched it. It's gathered so much dust on it it's not funny. But with my knee the way it is, there's now flying fart in space that i'll be able to do that. And I like your idea. Will bring out my pialtes mat and do some ab work outs. Thanks for that.

On a happy note, my sister gave birth to a healthy baby boy yesterday morning. Weighing a whopping 8lb 6ou (3.8kgs!). This will make it bub #3 for her and i've still yet to produce one. Oh well.

woohoo fingers crossed for a good weigh in tonight, you will have to let me know how you go.

pilates would be really good too, i'd probably just mix up as much low impact exercise as you can so you don't get bored with it!

congrats to your sister! your turn will come very soon

Thanks Hun. I'm now currently sitting at 98.2kgs, so only .5kgs this week, but I don't care. It's a loss and my weight is going down which is great. Plus, for the first time in years, I went and bought my first even size 18 shorts! And that too the waist is a bit big for me. I was so happy that I was crying in the change rooms! I honestly can't remember the last time I was a size 18. So with the weight loss, new nephew and buying smaller shorts, I am just on a high right now.

I thought that if I do pilates like every second day and then do some weights ever alternate day might help. Can't really over do it with the stupid knee.

Thank you. I am so happy. Such a big bub too. 8lb 6ou or 3.6kgs! And that too he was born at 37 weeks! Hate to have seen what size he'd be if he's gone full term.

    HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY everyone!

That's exactly what I said to my DH. I can only imagine him being over 4kgs if he did go full term!

Thanks Hun. I have had a great week. I am definitely proud of myself as is my family and DH. On the down side though, my DH said the other day that he can see that i'm losing weight because now he can see some sagging skin. Oh well. It's what happens when you've been 127kgs and you drop down to 98. But it will be so worth it in the end when we have our baby and I can get the excess skin cut off. Always trying to look on the brighter side now otherwise life will bring you down.

    Hi Ladies,

I have kind of been watching this thread a bit whilst not really commenting. The last 2 months DH & I have been TTC but as I have been using shakes for weight loss I haven't been doing a lot of losing weight atm.

I hope you don't mind me joining in now, I am concentrating on the weight loss for a few months, thinking till June atm as it was lucky last year (unfortunately resulting in a miscarriage) and at present I am due to ovulate on my birthday (A good sign I hope).

Also with TTC DH's Depression has knocked him for 6 again and the DTD feel worse then planned.. it feels down right forced from both of us. So we are giving it a bit of a break.

    So my vital stats are...

    Barefooted
    TTC for 18 Months
    Starting Weight- 159kg
First goal- 149kg (then DH will buy me Wii fit+)
    End Goal Weight 100kg
Commitments -Opti Fast Shakes 2 meals a day healthy dinner.

I have actually lost um whatever the ticker below says less 3kg since june last year doing spurts of Optifast but Christmas/ Newyears/ DH's Birthday have made it creep back on a little.

i love your positive attitude!! who cares about a little sagging skin if you get a baby and a new skinny you out of it and as you said you can always have surgery to fix it up! always look on the bright side i say

    Hi ladies!!

I am having a bit of a read on the forum as DH and I are getting ready to TTC

Anyway, I wanted to do a little bit of advertising for the program I am following... I'm with Weight Watchers, and I lost 10kg with them!
The program is great cause it is dead simple, you need to eat less "points" (ie. calories) than what you are burning. No shake, no powder, just normal plain yummy food!

Everything is allowed, it just need to be balanced. I have lost these 10kgs while having ice creams 2x a week, and 2-3 dinners out!
It gives you very healthy habits you need to fit in forever (water, fruits, vegies, proteins etc). I am still on it, it is a great way to monitor weight/food input.

    Even DH likes it!

What's more, the community is great, lots of like minded people and support on the forums.

You can see I love it hey?!

Good luck with your weight loss and TTC journey. Baby dust to you all

    Hi all
I have been reading through all the posts in this thread tonight...then had to stop for a random burst of tears....then stop further to explain to DH why I was crying and I finally decided that I want to jump on the bandwagon and get moving with TTC and that this would be a great group to share with and rejoice on our successes together!! So to a little bit about me:
Im 33 in a few months, DH and I have been married for 6 years and I have been off contraception since our wedding. I started out tracking my cycle back then which then became hard as i would go months without a period. My doctor did a gamete of bloods and found out that I had Hypothyroidism and hormone levels of testosterone etc suggested PCOS but due to my weight this has not been explored further by my doc or me. Im not sure what I currently weigh as I havent weighed myself in 18mths as I'm scared to get on the WII and it tell me I'm too heavy to weigh (aka 150kgs +) as this has happened before and I reckon that I am about at that weight again. Hubby is also overweight and since May we have been doing Lite n Easy mainly for well rounded healthy meals and the convienence.
I'm starting to get scared that I have left my run too late and am feeling the ticking of that biological clock. I havent pursued any fertility help due to my weight and me thinking that no one would help me and also due to me not wanting to fall pregnant when I am so overweight, and the other reason being that I have not given up smoking and I do not want to get pregnant until I have quit for at least 3 months. So this year I have decided is the year of change and am currently setting small goals in order to achieve the big one. I would really love to be included in this weekly update and chat to support one another and hope you gals will have me!!
