hi everyone, can i join in?? i'm TTC #3, don't know my weight (i had 2 great pregnancies while being fat so I'm not worried about it, though I'm not gonna let Drs bully me like they did with DD1), not trying to lose weight or anything but I am wary of dealing with other people's nonsense when I fall pg again.

Of course you can join @Oliveaux! Tthis thread is for TTC and overweight Doesn't mean you have to be wanting to lose it!

Babygirl - walking challenge went ok - but didnt walk daily - but i thin having a daily target is unrelastic and sets you up to fail so Im ok with that. I walked further than my minimum goal was so in that sense it was great. I havent kept it up to the same extent though I was more active afterwards. Currently very sick with a virus so will start walking again once recovered How are you doing?

And @Oliveaux - dont get me started on doctors who are rude and condescending! My physical examination dr for joing the public service was judgement and told me harshy "YOU are MORBIDLY OBESE". (which I;mnot according to the BMI anyways!)

Drs can be the worst!! I went to my GP today and discussed my medication with TTC, he didn't say a word about my weight which was just amazing. Now I just need to get through the pre-natal care, God willing! My last pregnancy I only had to see a nasty Ob in a hospital once since I had a shared care arrangement with my GP (who is also an Ob/Gyn) and my homebirthing midwife. First thing when I get my BFP I'll be calling up the hosp and applying for the homebirth program! I'm scared they're going to weigh me and say I'm too fat for the program even though I'm about the same as I was with DD2 and it wasn't an issue. That's the benefit over community based programs versus hospital programs I suppose.

I'm 96kg and TTC #5 my goal weight is around 70kg but I'd be happy just to lose 10kg at this point.

Hi all! I was hoping that I might join this thread?

I am exactly what the title describes- overwight and TTC

Like @Oliveaux I am not here to lose weight so much as for the support and friendships. I (on most days) have come to terms with my body for the way it is, and my goal is health, numbers be damned. I could do with eating a little better, and I could also do with moving a bit more, so I am resolved to work on that. If I lose weight it is a happy bonus, but it isn't my goal.

So... As for TTC, we are working away on bub #2 and just starting our third cycle (and I have AF atm, eugh!). We conceived DD on our honeymoon in our first month of trying, so I am very lucky that this is my first experience with BFNs and or AF's damnable arrival

Without the benefit of having a set of scales, I am assuming that I am the same weight that I was when I conceived DD1 (though admittedly a different shape). Health wise all my stats and vitals are the same, save for the fact that I now have much better vitamin D levels ( ). I am doing less physical exercise due to work/family/other interests, but I am slowly working on increasing that. I have just started aqua aerobics with my mum (most awesome exercise ever, btw), and have made an agreement with myself to start walking more. Thinking of fitting this in on a lunch break from work at least once a week, and adding in another walk where I can fit it. Might also get back to the squats, sit ups and what nots I was doing.

And for food... Well, I can say that I will try to reduce chocolate and I won't be lying. I'd only be lying if I said that I will 100% do it. Sometimes I figure that you gotta pick your poison; I don't drink alcohol or caffeine, smoke or take drugs... but offer me a cupcake or some chocolate and I am a goner

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and to sharing a journey full of BFPs and sticky babies

    Hi Ladies,
I am also overweight and ttc. I have no pcos, no endo and everything is good except that I seem not to be ovulating. Gyn has put me on Clomid amd I took the first course at the beginning of the month. According to my tracker and cm I ovulated on cd15 and am 13 dpo tomorrow. Af is due in two days and I'm desperately trying not to symptom spot. I have had some nausea, fatigue and frequent urination the past 2 -3 days and I'm so confused. I was in the hospital on Friday night with a gall stones attack so I'm trying to tell myself the symptoms could relate to that. But it's so hard not to get my hopes up! They did a urine test at the hospital to check if preg, but doc said it was too early to know for sure. I know I should wait until tueaday to test, but the first response box is calling my name! How do you all get through the wait?
