Hi ladies! Just wanted to share my experience with you.
For five years hubby and I were ttc. We had seven miscarriages, lost nine babies.
It was the hardest time of our lives.
I decided it was enough and instead focused on losing weight before we ttc again. I lost 15kg between February and July last year and then in august I got really sick with what I thought was glandular fever, two days after starting antibiotics I realised I had missed a period somewhere. Freaked out about the antibiotics lol! And went to the doctor to have it confirmed I was six weeks pregnant.
I was a mess for the first twelve weeks, waiting for what I thought was inevitable.
    Thankfully it didn't come.
Now I have a beautiful baby boy, and my doctor said the only reason we managed to have a healthy pregnancy was because I lost the weight.

best wedding song!! it's such a beautiful and cute song

thanks, i hope things work out in fiji too. i'm secretly jumping with joy at the thought of not having to work for 6 months but i'm sure i'll get bored after a while! it's definitely the last thing we need to be dealing with, especially with DH ABI he isnt able to receive any treatment while he is there. a BFP would certainly move the visa process along faster, but i don't want to put any pressure on myself or him!

It was a terrible time but I feel complete now and so happy it almost makes me cry!
I'm on another mission to lose more weight so that we can hopefully ttc number two in a year or so
It's so tough but SO worth it!!!!

Wow braxtonsmummy losing 9 babies would have been so hard. Thank you for sharing your story.

When I fell pregnant with dd it was a complete surprise and I was 10-20 kgs lighter.

    Hi gals,

I'd love to join. We're just starting our 8th cycle TTC and both hubby and I are way overweight (Obese by BMI standards). We've decided that we're going to start to exercise and not eat any more sh*t food. Our eating isn't that bad, it's mostly the lack of exercise that does it, but saying that, we just ate KFC for dinner!

We're going to cut down on our portion sizes and eat more good things, and less bad, along with exercise and see how that goes to start with. I think if we can just slightly alter the way we eat rather than think 'Oh, I can't have that, I'm on a diet' will really help!

Hi Angellini - welcome to our lil group.

I just changed our plates at home, I put the big bistro plates away and trying to use a 'normal' size dinner plate. Otherwise I just fill up the huge plate and we eat too much.

I am trying to do small changes to, when I do all/nothng I tend to fail. I have been pretty good and washappy to see I lost another kilo this morning (3 in total). Ithink if I was able to cut out everything that was crap I would lose so much so quick, but I want to make my food patterns healthy for the long term so I figure smaller changes are better.

I am really trying to shift from white/high carb/high sugar to alternatives.

    Good luck with TTC

    Can I join to please?

DH and I have been TTC for 4.5 years with no success
After the first 12 months I went off to my GP and was told "your only 23, you have plenty of years ahead of you to conceive naturally"
I was 85kg and a size 14 (I'm quite tall) and my periods were normal 32 day periods.

12 months later went to a different GP to ask for a FS referral, was told the only referral he would give me was to a dietician and it wasnt even worth me TTC because it was obvious I had PCOS and would never conceive unless I lost 60kg!
Also because DH is also overweight so he must have sperm problems.....

Fast forward 3 years and I am now 124kg and a size 20 and been seeing a FS since march and guess what - all my bloods show I am very healthy, no sign of diabetes, my cholesterol is at the lower end of normal, no PCOS AT ALL!!! oh and DH's swimmer numbers are "through the roof" according to FS

I have 3 rounds of failed clomid and 2 IUIs under my belt now so am going to try the 10% rule and see if that helps the situation- I have rented a treadmill and popped it in front of the T.V lol
    Good luck to us all
