yeh generally I tidy up a bit.

I make sure rubbish is all in the bin, towels in the bath etc. But I don't strip the beds or do a proper clean as such.

I look at it, that I paid for a service/room. I will leave it 'not trashed' but won't actually clean IYKWIM?

I wipe all the surfaces down, put all the used linen and towels in a pile, empty the bins and sweep and vacuum floors. I leave it how I would like to find it if I was the cleaner.

I tidy- clean any dishes/cups that have been used, pile all dirty towels in bathroom, all rubbish in the bin. Basically just do personal hygiene sort of things. I guess it helps too that DH used to be a 'house keeper' and so I know some of the horrid things they come across.
