    Default fundal height??

i know what fundal height is but i am wondering when doctors/midwives start to measure it?
i dont remember with ds i though around 20 weeks.
i had an antenatal appt last week at 21+2(baby measuring 22+2) and the doctor tried to find the fundal height to measure it but he couldnt find it so gave up and went to the doppler.

i know fundal height isnt always an indication of the baby's size.

I just went in for my check up this week (im 21 weeks) and this was the 2nd time he has measured the fundal height. Same scenario with my last baby.
Its odd that the doc couldnt feasure the fundal height.
Your right, fundal height isnt always an indicator of babys size. Sometimes a woman can look as huge as a house and still give birth to a smaller baby.
With my scan at 18 weeks, the lady said our baby was slightly larger but she also said that babies grow at their own pace. As long as they are within a certain 'range'.
So, even though my scan showed my bub to be slightly larger, my fundal height is where it should be for how many weeks i am.
Hopefully, your next appointment will be a bit more reassuring.

With my last bub they were worried my FH was high so they sent me for scan. Bub ended up being my smallest bub (42 weeker).

At 20 weeks with this bub my FH was 26. Nobody is worried about it. Don't stress.
