    Or get something from a pet store that breaks the enzymes down. I don't know what its called but its especially made to get rid of pet urine smells from your house and furniture/items.

    This! One brand is "Urine Off" .

    I've also found that Bio Zet laundry liquid is excellent for getting rid of cat pee smell... I have 3 cats and use it all the time on my front and back doors as we have toms that come and spray on them (My cats are confined) Also on the carpets when my female goes through her tantrum stages and piddles on the hall carpet.
    Its something about the enzymes in it that breaks down the enzymes in the urine.
