Despite being a sweet tooth, I hate sweet alcohol.

    My suggestions would be:

Spirit - vodka, lemon and lime

White Wine - a nice chardonnay is good, my fave is Bay of Fires (Tassie)

Red Wine - a nice Shiraz or a good Cabernet Sauvignon

Beer - I prefer heavier beers, James Squire Amber Ale, Tooeys Old and Guinness

Alcohol is all such a personal preference thing though!

    **I can haz typos?**

Another HUGE Brown Brothers fan here .

I agree with others maybe try the Cruisers or such for her first drink, my sister bought a six pack limited edition ones for summer and she enjoyed the two she had (not much of a drinker). Summer Cruisers CLICK.

I prefer red wines (BB Dolcetto Syrah being my absolute FAVE!). The BBs Pink Moscato is very sweet, the BB Zibibbo Rosa is pink, bubbly and sweet. I've had the Gossips Sweetlips one mentioned above and enjoyed it too. Brown Brothers CLICK.

If all else fails I'm sure a decent bottle-o will be able to help.

    Sam

PS I've included a couple of links to give you an idea of what the bottles look like when you're shopping.

Oh I should also add that a nice spirit type drink is vodka, cranberry and lime. It's tart, yet a bit sweet due to sugar in the cranberry juice. I can only have one or two, as I despise drinks that are too sweet, however they are quite popular amongst my friends.

Loving6 there is a really nice LOW ALCOHOL slightly sparkling wine called Rosemount 0 that is lovely. It is slightly sweet and can be served on ice which might be good as this dilutes it even more.

While you're a non drinker now think back to when you were. My mother had one bottle of cherry advocat for like 10 years and I still love to have some now and again. Infact might grab some for new years...
Oh it's drunk with lemonade if you want to try her on it.

Coming to you from a galaxy far far away.

Apple cider! Delicious and less strong than wine or spirits and mixers.

I have some of the Lindemans Early Harvest in my fridge right now, and yep, it's nice. It's also lower in calories and alcohol (normal bottle would be about 8-9 standard drinks... this is only about 5...). The lower alcohol content means it's not as strong when it goes down making it easier to drink for a new drinker.

Apple cider, or there is a new pear cider which I haven't tried but is probably nice.
It's a bit lame, but what about a chandy? (sp?) beer with lemonade.
I like moscato and sweet wines too, but they are very easy to drink (like the alcopop stuff like breezers) I think, and could make her very drunk very fast, or ill (or both!)
Tequila sunrises are yummy and very pretty
