    Default Depo-provera?

I had my first depo-provera injection on the 20th of September but since it has caused weight gain, bloating and vaginal dryness, DH and i decided that i wouldn't get it again. The doctor told us if i was to continue it i would need to get it again on the 10th of december to make it have full protection. Its been 17 days since i should have had it and i still havnt got AF back, so to my question: how long did it take you to get it back after stopping its course?

I put 6-9 months at a guess. I was on it for close to 5 years as I had severe PCOS endo and severe period an ov pain for me was best thing ever GP said I had been on it longer than was supposed to (3 yrs is max without a break). So I stopped having it. Once it went out of my system my period was never regular sometimes only 2-3 times a year but I still got pregnant with my daughter!! When I found out I was pregnant I hadn't had a period for six months.

Tried using it after my daughter was born to control bleeding and pain but didn't work so after 2 course I stopped but everyone is different.

After bleeding stopped bout 6 months after I had my daughter AF became regular as clockwork B**ch!!!

clicked the wrong one .. was close to 2 years

I was on Depo for close on 2 years... after coming off it, it took hubby and I close on 8 years to conceive my son ... and now he's 14months old, I'm 7months preg with #2 ...

I'd be very wary of Depo ...

Do you know they use it in the US for sex offenders, as it's 'chemical castration'.
