    Question Suburbs in Tasmania?

    Hi everyone,

Just wondering what suburbs in Tasmania you rate and hate?

I lived in Tasmania well Hobart for 16 years then moved to melbourne after i finished high school and now wanting to move the family back there after 4 years.

I know of these suburbs being pretty crappy.
    • Clarendon Vale
    • Rokeby
    • Gagebrooke
    • Bridgewater
    • Chigwell
    And these Suburbs being good.
    • Rose Bay
    • Lindisfarne
    • North Hobart
    • West Hobart
    • Newtown
    • Battery Point
    • sandy Bay

If you can add to the list please do. Im not just wanting hobart suburbs im wanting the WHOLE of Tasmania including little country towns. Because we are unsure if we want to go to Hobart. So that is why we are wanting to know about every little suburb

Any information you have would be fantastic. Knowing i lived their most of my life i do know that areas can change alot in that time!

    Thanks everyone

I have always lived on the eastern shore and these suburbs are great:
Howrah (although some new parts are far away from shops)
    Bellerive
Oakdowns (next to Rokeby but very nice and not at all bogan)
    Lauderdale

Lenah valley isn't bad, but I would stay clear of Glenorchy. I worked in retail there for a while and we had to call the police on almost a weekly basis because of 'thugs'.

Pretty much what has been listed for the Hobart area is true.

In Launceston, Ravenswood is total bogan, I have friends there and I HATE going there. Lots of house fires! I swear there's one on the news every week.

I've only visited the NW, I hated Burnie, badly laid out, hilly and windy.

Latrobe and Ulverstone were really nice, both are close to Devonport.
