You can get eBooks from places like Angus Robertson or Borders online stores. You need to manually download onto your Kindle though from your computer. I'm not sure of the process as I've never tried myself.

yep its easy enough to put onto your kindle from your computer if you have ebooks.

plug in the kindle, and then drag and drop using explorer.

A kindle is an ebook reader brought out by Amazon.
There fantastic, thousands of books on one small lightweight device about the size of a paperback with a beautiful pearl display and e-ink that has a beautiful almost matte finish so it looks like paper.
eBooks are are often cheaper than the paperbacks too.
www.booktopia.com.au has a few as do the above listed sites.
You can sometimes find books on torrent sites too for free if you know how to use them.

for torrents I'd start off with isohunt. (Provided you have a program to download them? I use Utorrent).
You just have to make sure you download pdf's as kindle doesn't read other files.
I got one yesterday too! I love, love, love it!
I've already purchased 7 books off amazon and paid just over $10 so it's not really that exxy anyway.

PDFs are not that good because they are big and chunky and take up a lot of space.
Amazon kindles traditionally take mobi files which it calls azw files.
If you use a program called Calibre, it will automatically transfer ePub, most lit and htm files.
Calibre can be downloaded for free at calibre-ebook.com and it will allow you to put any ebook you have downloaded and not paid for on amazon onto your kindle.

warez-bb.org is a forum type site that is free to join and has a whole section just for ebooks, my hubby gets most of our stuff there.
We get most our other torrents from torrentz.eu

    Hope this helps a little.
