    Default Headaches

I'm 14 weeks pregnant with baby #2, and for the past couple weeks I've been getting some shocking headaches. I try to stay hydrated, and so I'm not sure if it's because I'm sleeping so terrible lately that I'm getting them when I wake up. I don't like to be taking too much Panadol {I know it's safe, but I am uncomfortable taking medication in pregnancy}, but coupled with the morning/all day sickness that I am still currently getting, I don't have the energy to do much -- and I need all the energy I can get, as I also have a toddler to care for! Did any of you ladies suffer from headaches at around this time in your pregnancy?

Headaches are pretty common - usually caused by the hormonal changes and changes in your blood pressure from having all the extra blood circulating.

I am 15 weeks and have had them on and off, and it's no fun! I usually find if I take a panadol (just one) with a big glass of water and then have a nap, by the time I wake up it is gone. I have a toddler too, so I usually just do it when he is napping.

I started getting headaches when I was around 13 weeks pregnant. They continued until ds was 4 months old. I think it is common as I remember quite a few people in my due in group had the same.

Yep pretty common unfortunatley. I had them all the way through pregnancy and still get them way too often (DS is almost 4 months). If they're really really bothering you as a pp said get your blood pressure checked and maybe try getting in a nap or two during the day...easier said than done with a toddler I know!!!!! Oh and my sister is 14 weeks pregnant with number 2 and she constantly gets headaches too

i would say they are probably hormonal headaches... caused by the change in hormones in your body while pregnant...

i got them all the time with dd

Same here, am 13w and constant headaches. Went to GP and had my blood pressure checked, it was in the low range and was told to get plenty of rest and drink heaps of water. I know how difficult it is to get some shut eye especially with a toddler, but try to take a nap when he/she is. My thoughts are with you.
