Santa stops at the grandparents place and leaves presents, and they give DD gifts from them too

DDs grandparents haven't done the Santa thing, just give gifts from themselves. We hardly do Santa either, we give her all her big gifts and Santa fills up her stocking -thats it! Im such a mean mum haha

Never even thought of Santa delivering presents to the grandparents house!

We don't do Santa much at all at our house - just a few token pressies from him, rest from us. The grandparents buy far too many presents, but they are all from them, not Santa.

Both my mum and step dad do the whole "look what santa left here for you" thing and my DP's mum does the same and it drives me nuts! Later on down the track I say to DD "Gee you were lucky to get such and such from nana and pop werent you!" and it always goes over her head as to who it from from. She's happy as long as she is unwrapping presents. Santa stops at our house and all she cares about is how he "knew" what she wanted.

At the end of the day I dont think the kids really care, as long as they are opening stuff. I just humour the grandparents, even though it still drives me nuts. I figure they are going through withdrawals of being santa themselves and if they want to fork over big $$$ for stuff without getting the credit, I reckon go for it. The kids are gonna catch on soon enough, let them enjoy it while they can.

My parents do it from nana and pa but mil does it from Santa and I'm nit a fan to be honest but don't say anything. Mil also does a stocking for them which for some reason drives me batty but that's just my hang up I think.

^^ This! DD won't see the ILs for Christmas so her presents from them are under the tree with tags from them. They also sent up small stockings with lollies (one for each of us) and wrote from Santa on the tags but I told them that I put new tags on saying that they were also from them.

I'm the parent now. Santa is my job!
