Nightmare stuff. I generally have no issues with pet birds. Except that they sometimes poo on you. But usually they don't go tunnel diving at you for taking a leisurely stroll through the park. Lol

Oh the cleaning isn't an issue. It's just the fact that a living animal has thought It's appropriate to actually sh!t on me! How inconsiderate!!!!!

Hahaha. No really, I just don't like poo.

When bub-a-tron is here, dp is doing poos, I'm doing spews. Lol

a healthy bird's poo doesn't smell (except the occasional quail poo.. they are truly disgusting birds).
i think that definitely makes it less icky, the whole lack of smell.

Why does quail poo not smell?
    Can quails fly?

If not, it might have something to do with aerodynamics and the atmosphere at a higher level, in which case I should research this further and consider inventing a baby-harness-trapeze-flying-thingo so the trons poo is less likely to stink should I ever have the need to change poo myself.

Absolutely terrified of birds. Always have been, even ducks and chickens scare me!

DS2 is terrified of birds also but that stems from my mums cockateil biting him I think...

nah quail poo can smell.. that's where they're different from other birds lol they're disgusting.. uh.. special.. whereas my finches and tiel, if their poo smelt they'd be straight off to the vet cos that's not normal! if a bird's poo smells then it is sick! in fact the poo can often be the first visible sign that a bird is sick, they hide it extremely well.

quails aren't designed to fly.. they can though. they're essentially miniature chickens, they can get a bit of height and speed up but they go up then back down, often crashing into a wall in the middle there. they don't fly in the normal sense of the word.
