    I haven't told them i'm not coming back and don't have to until 2 months before i'm due to return. We are moving to perth before the bub's is 1 so i will look for work down there.

    Are you paid under an award? Perhaps look up the award & see what someone in your role with your level of experience should be on?
    Otherwise, Hays put out a salary survey each year--google it, you can get it for free, & it will tell you the average salary for your role in your state. Go into the meeting with your manager knowing what your type of role commands out in the market, and with examples of why your performance exceeds the requirements for the role.

    Try not to compare yourself to others, you should be asking for pay rises on your own merits. Also, comparing yourself to people in other roles isn't relevant--as PP have said, different roles command different wages.

    i'm always to scared to ask for a pay rise, everyone says i deserve more than i'm on, but i get nervous asking things like that....

    Will look up the Hays report....

    I think i'm under an award i can't remember now...
