Love, love, love Christmas, Santa and just everything about this season!!!

I have wonderful and magical memories and I want that for my children. I love the closeness it brings, the sheer excitment, the get togethers, the food and the gift giving!!!

I believe in the "magic" of Christmas!!!

born to be, this thread is for people to talk about why they love santa. its not saying anything about anyone who does not have santa.

please dont make this a thread where people have to justify their love of santa.

    Yep this!
Christmas to me is about family, friends, food, presents, giving and the magic and excitement of Santa!
For ME it has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus (and his birthday) or anything remotely religious.
I'm an atheist and Christmas is my very very favorite time of year!

We don't have little people yet, but we still do Santa. Why? Cos Santa doesn't get in trouble for going overboard and buying too many presents!

But it is definitely going to continue when we have a little one to spoil too!

I don't know really. I'm the one that pays for al their toys. I guess it's just part of chidhood. They know (or think) Santa brings some toys but I buy others.

Santa only brings one present in this house But DD only seems to ask him for one thing anyway which has worked out well.

We do santa because DD flips out over this imaginary fat man that brings her presents

We are hoping To do Christmas in the snow one year before DD "out grows" santa. Go on a sleigh ride in the actual snow

I don't think Beryl meant it in a mean way. But every year on the Hub there's usually back biting from the pro santas and anti santas lol. Anti santas are painted grinches that ruin their kids xmas and pro santas are painted as materialistic people that lie to their kids.

I think it was more a preemptive thing so this thread didn't go down that road

    Yessss what delirium said.
It wasnt meant to be an ouch..
just when you have a thread like this someone always comes in and says,
You dont need santa. he is a coca cola invention, he smacks of consumerism...

so it was just a pre emptive thing as it started with, you dont need santa to make things magic...

    xoxoxo
