    Default Yay Qantas!! **big vent**

Once again, you have proven how well you are prepared to take care of Your passengers...

DP works FIFO, has just found out from Qantas that his 5pm flight will now be at 7:30pm. So now he will not see DD at all tonight. I also had a really nice night planned of DP's fave dinner, movies on the mattress in the lounge just for some 'us' time.

Qantas' excuse for the delay to the 5pm & 7 pm flights is...

It's too hot to take off from where you are.

Meanwhile, the midday, & 3pm flight are fine as it's definately cooler at those times... Are you freaking kidding me?!?!

I'm also upset on behalf of the numerous other FIFO guys who had flights tonight to various other places in Oz and around the world to see family for christmas.

Surely this is THE single most lame excuse for not flying on time.

    That is all.

    Thank you for reading.

I doubt they wouldn't do it unless they have too. They are already walking a fine line of trust with Australians. I think it sucks tho

(some inside info from a family member who works for them)

Apoarently they could have actually put the 5&7pm flight guys on the 3 flights earlier in the day but didn't want to "jam" the planes to capacity...

    Uh... Really?!?!

Delays, cancellations, it happens. Why should xmas be any different? Sure it sucks but when flying, you accept that.

As a FIFO mummy also my DH is flying in tomorrow. His stupid work have cut the bus out to Perth airport with no margin for error at all. Even not enough time to make the flight. I will be fuming if they miss it. We have everything planned also and like you it's so disappointing when your plans go to sh1t. I get it, I understand how important your mattress and movie time was. Big hugs.

Bummer. Hopefully you will still have a lovely dinner just very very late.
Must be hard to have your husband working away. Huge hugs.

I do get all that, it's more about the stupid reason.

I'm sorry if you didn't mean it, but at 28 weeks pregnant having spent 9 days with a tantruming 17 month old with less than 4 hours sleep a night, I found this quite nasty and un-helpful.

I wasn't trying to get "awww poor you" from everyone but sheesh.
