Okay. I don't want to enter into an argument, was just being realistic.
    Best of luck to you.

Haha, Bec and Liz's are too old, I have 3 more years before we TTC again... and I don't think they'll hand them over anyway.

Can you imagine their wardrobes...? ~drools~ or I could just dress them in their sisters hand-me-downs... haha.

Don't suggest I'm being unrealistic in wanting to up the odds, it is possible to up the odds. I know twins aren't guaranteed, I know a baby isn't guaranteed.

    Thanks for your well wishes.

That is not what i am suggesting, don't twist my words. Up your chances all you like, that is fine - nothing unrealistic about that. The odds will still be low but i'm not saying don't try - just be realistic about your odds of having twins.
That's all i have to say and will be exiting this thread now.

Blissed - Have you found any natural ways to up the odds for twins yet? I'm actually really curious about that.
The only way I could imagine upping the odds substantially is to use clomid or letrozole and hope you have 2 mature follies to ovulate. Not sure how an FS would feel about that though, they seem to run away screaming from potential multiples (the sissies!)

Aside from what you've mentioned... eat yams and dairy apparently.

Not that it'll help but I've heard conceiving while breast feeding increases your chances. So maybe try for another 3 one to breast feed and then TTC and see if you have twins in the subsequent pregnancy

Fertility specialists run away from the possibility of twins as there is more risk. Prematurity, miscarriage, problems with the pregnant mother. And these problems are a drain on our health system.

Good luck with trying for twins. I don't think any natural way is going to help but you can try. But be careful what you wish for, twins aren't all cuteeness and cuddles

I had severe SPD with baby no.2 got worse with baby no.3 I was on crutches with no.3 needed DH help to get up o a night to pee, it is horrible but in saying that it was all worth it in the end, I may even be UTD with no.4 and I know there's high chances of being on crutches again, I was hoping for twins with the last baby I had as I've always wanted 4 babies. My mother is a twin and that's how unlucky I got! Lol well no not unlucky I have a beautiful cheeky little 18 month old baby and all I care about is that he is healthy and happy. If I could have had treatment to have twins I wouldn't have though from personal choice as I believe we aren't ones to decide how many we get or what sex we get. There are couples out there who can't have kids at all who require that treatment, couples that have far worse problems during their pregnancies than my SPD in my hips and pelvis, even as painful as it is and there's barely anything they can do for it either when you're pregnant. But I know it was my choice to have more kids to endure all that excruciating pain to have more kids and my love for them I'd certainly do it again!

I so desperately wanted twins to have the pair in one pregnancy and not have to go back for the fourth, I'm sure there's many different varying opinions on this issue, but of you're really set on this you could always make an appointment with a specialist and get a professionals opinion about it all.

No matter which way it happens I truly wish you all the best and hope your SPD in your future pregnancy isn't too bad I wouldn't wish it on anybody! Oh something else to consider too with 2 babies double the weight it could be alot worse too. My babies have all been over 10 pounds which is the size of twins lol. good luck hun!

There is no way a specialist in Aust will do fertility treatment just because someone wants twins. Highly unethical.
