congrats PinkB on the arrival of Isabella
congrats PinkB on the arrival of Isabella
Thanks you all so much for your lovely messages of congratulations. We are so in love with our little girl and still can’t believe after 7 cycles of IVF and thinking it would never happen she is here! I have put some photos on my profile for those who want a peek!!!
Mum4nay – Congrats again! Loved reading your birth story!!! Hope your paed appt for Nathan went well, i have been thinking of you!
Spot – so glad your 12 week scan went well – that is fantastic news!
Millie – sounds like you have a very healthy bub, so glad your scan went well
Starfish – thanks for posting my news, i hope all going well with you
PinkButterfly, just so very, very pleased to hear that all is well with Isabella!! I went to your profile to see some pics but couldn't see them, maybe I am doing something wrong? Also I take it her kidney issue turned out to be okay? How are you recovering?
mum4nay, pinkB and gardenia - hope you are all revelling in your new precious ones. What fantastic times. It is really hope-inspiring that it is possible, after hoeing a long road, to achieve what often seems completely unattainable... Hope, too, that you're all recovering well from the birth. Enjoy that feeling. I sometimes think it's one of the reasons I have hankered so much after another baby.
mum4nay - how did your appointment for Nathan go? Sounds like Tom is going to make quick work of any extra kilos that might have slipped on during pregnancy. Good lad!
millie and spot - such brilliant news about both your scans . I catch the distinct feeling of reflected bliss bubble when I think of both of you
starfish - what is the timing for your next FET? Hope you're doing OK lovely.
AFM - thyroid result came back with TSH at 1.4 ie below the magic 2 mark, so transfer will be happening on Saturday morning. I think I am officially in the 'difficult patient' category with my FS, for upping my thyroid medication of my own accord. Oh well. Sometimes these things just need to be done.... I am oscillating between feeling a small ray of hope that having the steroids on board may just make the necessary difference, and thinking 'why will things be different this time from the last 4 transfers'? Trying very hard to catch the positive wave as much as possible.
Pink B - just snuck a peek at your pictures. Isabella May is divine. In the pictures taken in the bath she already looks very wide-eyed and awake. A wise little face there! Also lovely to put a face to the Pink B name.
Thanks for sharing your birth story Mum4nay. Wow what a speedy entry into the world for Tom! I have always loved the idea of a water birth as I am such a water baby myself, but worried it would be rather messy! Very reassured by your description! Hope all went well with Nathan's appt and you are getting some rest Just curious and hope this is ok to ask, what did you end up doing with your ED frosties?
Pink, gorgeous pics of bubba Isabella and your beautiful family And you are looking pretty hot for a woman who just gave birth!!
Congrats Spot and to Millie on your NT scans Your EDD's must be close?
Slinky, YAY!!!! for thyroid being under control and for your FET this Saturday. It is hard to hold the balance of hope after so much disappointment, (in that place myself right now) but all we can do is take a leap of faith each time. I'm hoping that the steroids are the magic ingredient
Fiona, Trying, Jfb
AFM, I'm feeling quite over myself and my situation this week My 37th b'day is coming up which will mark 4 long years TTC no. 1
I'm just awaiting AF and then will start my P protocol all over again but this time with the addition of viagra pessaries... so we'll see!
PinkB, managed to see the photos of Isabella, which bought tears to my eyes. She is so beautiful, just the most perfect, perfect little girl. Congratulations again
Starfish, I know about the misery and pain of the long haul ... hang in there, you've got that oestrogen working away on your lining and the Viagra pessaries. I am hoping this next cycle ends your long journey with a sticky BFP leading to a healthy baby at the end ... hang in there lovely, just hang in there
Slinky, woo hoo for a transfer this Saturday!!! There are so many stories out there of where the steroids made the difference, I'm so hoping this is the story for you too

Hiya to Fiona, Melk, kismet, trying (hope u haven't missed anyone
Afm - another baby born (in my group of friends) this week (2 to go at this stage) another boy - so that makes the count - boys 2 girls 3 !!!!
Trying for two – Thanks we think she’s beautiful but we are v.biased!!! I am recovering well, feel a million bucks to be free of my vomiting and nausea!!! We are off on Monday for a kidney scan for Isabella – until they are at least one week old and the system is up and running they can’t tell much about what’s going on, in the meantime we have to watch out for UTI’s. Depending on these results that will determine what further investigations she needs. I am trying not to think beyond that, now she's here it feels easier than when i was pregnant.
Slinky – Thanks!!! good news on the thyroid result – will be thinking of you on Saturday. I feel positive the steroids will make a difference for you as your embryo’s are such good quality.
Starfish – Those damn birthdays roll around too quick these days. I agree with what T42 says – hang in there and we are all here cheering you onwards & willing your BFP your way!
Crofty – thanks!!! Not long til your investigations now. I hope its your lucky year too !!
Thanks starfish, trying and pinkB. Really nice to have some encouraging words
starfish - We've all said it before, but you ARE going to make it, you WILL have that baby in your arms. Here's hoping that it all goes right this time round lovely.
pinkB - for the results from Isabella's appointment on Monday. It's very good that you feel like it's easier to deal with now that she has arrived.
trying - 30 weeks now your ticker tells us. Yippee!!!! Home and hosed. Hang on little one.
