Default Help? How should I address xmas present from DS

I got DS a small present to give his grandmother (father's side) but not sure how to address it - her other grandchildren call her I think "Avo" as in grandmother in Portuguese - however when I asked DS's father how I should address the present he said 'grandma'????

Why should DS refer to her differently than her other grandchildren? To me it doesn't seem right and I really want to put "Avo" just to make a point.

    What would you do?

    I'd put Avo.
My Greek brother in law makes his son call my dad Pa, though everyone else is called by the Greek title, simply because all the other grandchildren call my dad Pa.

I asked my parents what they wanted to be called. Can you ask her? DH's parents were already "named" by their other grandchildren so we went along with that. Using that theory, go with Avo.

I'd put Avo. She obviously is already Avo by her older grandchildren. It makes sense to me for all grandchildren to call the their joint grandparent the same name. I also think that if you have another name for grandmother/grandfather from another language to obtain in

My sister encouraged my dad to go by Dar when I was pregnant with dd (1st grandchild) as she wanted dad to carry on Dar from my maternal grandfather and wanted her children to call him Dar and knew to do that it should start with my dd

    Thanks everyone!

It makes sense to me for DS to call her by the Portuguese title. To be honest she might as well be a stranger to DS but we do see his cousins regularly so it makes sense to call her what they do.

My parents are Nan and Pop the same as what my grandparents were.
