    Default Tooth ache

I have a tooth ache, but it's weird. It only really hurts when I chew something on that side and it feels like 2-3 teeth are hurting.

I don't like my chances of seeing a dentist this week. Do you reckon its something urgent?

Can you see the tooth at all? Is it discoloring or anything? I wouldn't think it's too urgent if it isn't horribly painful.

I had a look, can't see it going a funny colour, its more a pain in the @$$ at the moment, but with Christmas coming up, I don't want it going downhill over the long weekend...

If you have pain on biting it sounds like a cracked tooth. If it starts to react to hot drinks then I would be worried because it means the nerve may be affected.

Can they fix that or is it a pull out job? I hope not cause my teeth are shocking to pull out!

Do you have any sinus pain? My sinuses cause a few teeth to ache at once and then because I must clench at night or something the bottom teeth hurt too.

Nope, no sinus pain, its the bottom teeth right at the back (can't be wisdoms, they were all pulled out 8 years ago)

Sounds like a cracked tooth to me, my mum had the exact same thing.
I'd get some decent pain killers from the pharmacy (ibuprofen and codeine) and ring the dentist. If there's a wait you can say it's causing you pain and you need to be put on the cancellation list too.

I cracked a wisdom tooth years ago and that hurt ALL the time, this is only when I chew food, doesn't hurt at all the rest of the time? Or is that how it starts?

    Hi Emzy,
Not a dentist so can't have enough advice for you but must say you will meet dentist at earliest and meanwhile chew soft things. I will keep checking the post for further updates.
