Default 5 month old and solids

Hi, I've just started my 5 month old on rice cereal in the morning. How long till I introduce another meal??

See how he goes on the rice cereal. Usually, as far as I can remember, you introduce a new food every few days.

By the time I started DD on solids at 6 months, I just did BLW & she had everything & anything right from the start.

I think I only had her on one meal a day for about a month? Depends on how hungry your bub is and how many milk feeds they are getting. BF/bottle is still the #1 food source until they are 12 months. Food is just an introduction to their new diet.

He is bottle fed and is still 5 bottles a day, I was just wondering on when I introduce new tastes. Do I just add different things to the rice cereal and change the flavor that way, or introduce another meal and leave the cereal as it is?

I'd introduce them separately so he can get a taste for each individual food.

I found this information really helpful. It's very clear to understand on how and when to introduce solids
