Default The Greens' compassion - more deaths (possibly distressing)

More people being lured to their deaths.

    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/nati...-1226224938883

Not sure if this will get the media coverage it deserves as it is not on our doorstep like the Christmas Island disaster 12 months ago - but this one sounds even worse. There are hundreds missing, including up to 40 children.

The Greens (and Labor's left) need to understand that their "open border" policies are not compassionate despite their best attempts to make it look that way. The increase in arrivals over the past month clearly indicate that these are PULL factors and not PUSH factors that are putting these people onto dangerous boats. They can no longer ignore the fact that people are dying at sea, and having policies that lure more people into this dangerous venture is in no way compassionate.

The Greens must get behind the rest of their rainbow coalition government and resolve this problem to stop more people dying.

    Accepting asylum seekers is compassionate.
Luring them to their deaths is not.

So yes, they have more compassion for asylum seekers.

I don't think this is funny at all! I guess it also shows how much compassion you have. People are drowning as we speak!

I don't think that is funny either. It really is not a joking matter - even when you have your political blinkers on.

How many deaths would it take for you to realise the current policies are not in the best interest of anyone, let alone 'asylum seekers' - whether they are legitimate or not? 100? 1000? 10000? How many?
Or are these deaths just collateral damage that does not concern you?

So I assume you are another that is not concerned about people dying at sea?

Onshore processing is the most compassionate. Last I checked, that's what the current policy is!

ETA meant to say onshore, not offshore!
