    Hubby was abled to replace my iPhone screens for under $20, got a kit off eBay and was pretty easy to do-YouTube even had how too vids!

    Hopefully they have something simular for the iPad!

    Really?? Thanks girls! The screen glass is totally fine, it the screen underneath, 2/3 is white. You have given me hope it may not just be an expensive paperweight now!

    Just go to a repairer. Apple doesn't replace iPad screens, they will replace the entire iPad and it will cost about $400 (half the price of your iPad).

    Apple will fix iPhone screens i think but not iPad screens.

    if you are under warranty, dont get ebay screens. go to a licensed repairer or your entire warranty is gone!

    What about your contents insurance? Ours is with CGU and covers damage like this to items if they are under 8 years old. Maybe yours is similar??

    I'm getting the kit off ebay for $48 and it includes both screens as mine is not under warranty, its the same as the screens in the iphones which break all the time and easy to replace. I am not sure it would be worth claiming under insurance unless you have no excess. If its under warranty there is a site with the accepted excuses for making a warranty claim, leaving it on the floor is prob not one of them.
