I really wanted a book off Amazon for my kindle a little while ago and it wasn't available to Australia so I did something really cheeky and changed my country to the USA I got the book.

I tried but need to put in an address for the US. How did you do this?

There are ways around it. You can download ebooks in the formats that are compatible with the Kindle (epub, pdf etc) and load them manually onto the Kindle. You have to do this via your computer. It's a bit of extra work but not too bad.
There are actually a couple of programs you can download that will convert any type of e-book to a kindle compatible book and load it on for you.

I'm getting Kindel for mothers day so subscribing. The only thing I am annoyed about with it is the lack of cases in Australia. I know they have them but the ones I like are a) over in the US and b) about $80 after p&h.

I've had my kindle for over 12 months now and love it! I buy all my cases off ebay. Scored a few for only $1 and they last well.
