hi guys, i just wanted to ask if it's hard to get books for the kindle? i was reading somewhere that if you have a kindle then you can only buy e-books from amazon, but not all the books on amazon are available for download if you live in australia?

I'm not 100% sure, i was told that they have the largest online book store.

I know they don't have a lot of australian books

But i did discover today they have Ina May's books

Did you want me to search a specific title as an example?

I'm still working through some of the free ones .

I'm currently reading the Glassblower's Daughter (free e-book) and it seems good so far.

ETA - just stumbled on some distressing topics in the book, so please read reviews before starting the book.

Well...I'm getting a Kobo Touch for xmas...I decided against a Kindle because of the price difference between a kindle touchscreen and the Kobo Touch.

Although I don't technically get it until Sunday, it somehow has 80 of my favourite books loaded onto it already *whistles innocently*. I can't wait to get it! I just don't have enough room for all my books anymore!

There are ways around it. You can download ebooks in the formats that are compatible with the Kindle (epub, pdf etc) and load them manually onto the Kindle. You have to do this via your computer. It's a bit of extra work but not too bad.

I love my kindle. Some books aren't available here from amazon, like anything by James Paterson & a few other big names. I think it's something to do with the publishers. Amazon has a kindle forum that's got a lot of great info & you can search all their ebooks. I rarely pay for mine, so many are free or 0.99.

My fav author I have discovered is John Locke, love his books.
