    Default Compensation payouts

Hi just wondering if anyone has received a comp payout?? I won an action n have been waiting for my payout.. The date I was to receive my funds from workcover was on Wednesday the 14th but they are now saying I have to wait till after the new year.. Has anyone had this happen to them?? I thought if you sign an agreement then they have to pay up by a certain date and not make up there own rules??
If anyone has any info it would be appreciated..

I used to do some plaintiff personal injuries work, but not workcover, but there was normally a lag between settlement of the claim and a payout.

Sometimes it would be because they were waiting for statements from third parties, eg medicare and centrelink, as they may get paid back from the settlement amount

If you had a solicitor acting, ask them why it is delayed. If you acted for yourself, phone workcover. There is normally an explanation.

There is always a lag, they try to wait till the end of the month.

FIL was meant to get his last October, it showed first week of December.

Ggggrrr it's so frustrating why say a certain date when they don't go by it.. Why should I have to abide by the confidentiality clause when they don't pay up by the date..

Thanks for your replies I appreciate it.
