    Default Substitute for burghul?

I wanted to make tabouleh for the first time but couldn't get any burghul. I have whole wheat, but not sure if I can use that as a substitute? Any ideas would be appreciated!

Couscous is similar, just not as course and a bit more fluffy but it could easily work.

I would use Quinoa, I think it's a much nicer texture and taste than cous cous (http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/m...20Tabouli/1562)

It can also be called cracked wheat if that helps. Any health food store should have it. Hope that might help.
