Weight loss in 3 yo

He is a skinny kid. Tall but thin. But has always grown and gained at every irregular weight check. Today he had lost 1/2 kg. I'm not even sure when we had weighed him last -might have been one or two months. Has anyone else's kid lost weight and if so were they ok

Does he look healthy? Is he still growing taller?

My son is 3 yrs, 3 months and tallish, but only weighs about 15kg. He was the same weight for ages, then jumped a bit.

I tend not to weigh him much as long as he looks ok. While he does look skinny, it's the same body shape as his father.

That didn't really answer. I guess if it were me I probably wouldn't be too concerned.

Think I'd be like this too little boys are very active if he looks healthy is eating ok I probably wouldn't worry, unless it's so noticeable you can see it without needing scales it's probably ok

Has he grown taller recently? Like had a growth spurt? My 3.5 year old ds recently shot up and grew 4cm and lost approx 800g, but within a month after the growth spurt he had put the weight back on.

Ibm the grand scheme of things, losing 500g when they are 3yrs old 15kg isn't like losing weight or not gaining when they are younger, so i wouldn't worry

Not sure about his height. We measure that even less often than weight. Might try and check it tomorrow. Thanks for the reassurance ladies

I don't tend to measure height, but notice it in pants etc.
