What law firm makes admin staff where dresses/skirts? That's outrageous. If they require a certain dress code at least it's tax deductible right?

In my work i work pretty closely with different companies that are owned and operated by families who are Bretheren. at first i didnt really notice or realise but then once it was mentioned by someone i noticed they didnt do email and all the office workers were ladies and they all wore long skirts and had long hair and wore fascinators. Very clean appearance i reckon, in comparison i was a total frump lol. But anyway they were super reliable, treat me with great respect, and always got back to me really quickly with info as needed. So you're probably right with the religious thing.

I wouldn't fill that form out, it doesn't sound very legal to me!

I have sat on a number of interview panels recently and we were very firmly advised that we couldn't as those sorts of questions as they are discriminatory.

I googled the Bretheren and I'm pretty sure that that is where the wierdness was comming from, a lot of things fit: dress code, questions about smoking, drinking, marriage, unions etc. I also read the employee handbook which stipulated no mobile phones are allowed on the premisis.

I just got an email a minute ago saying that I didnt get the job... Knowing what I now know I'm quite pleased. I dont think it would have worked out...
