In my work i work pretty closely with different companies that are owned and operated by families who are Bretheren. at first i didnt really notice or realise but then once it was mentioned by someone i noticed they didnt do email and all the office workers were ladies and they all wore long skirts and had long hair and wore fascinators. Very clean appearance i reckon, in comparison i was a total frump lol. But anyway they were super reliable, treat me with great respect, and always got back to me really quickly with info as needed. So you're probably right with the religious thing.
I wouldn't fill that form out, it doesn't sound very legal to me!
I have sat on a number of interview panels recently and we were very firmly advised that we couldn't as those sorts of questions as they are discriminatory.
I just got an email a minute ago saying that I didnt get the job... Knowing what I now know I'm quite pleased. I dont think it would have worked out...
wow i've never heard of the Bretheren... yeah prob good thing OP you didn't get the job, no offence to any religious folks out there, but they sound a bit restrictive!
gosh, sounds a bit strange, if i was in that situation i would have backed away from that one.
no phones on the premesis? gosh, when i first started reading your post, i was thinking is it scientology?
i used to live near a breatheren community about 8 years ago, near my parents house, they kept to themselves really, didnt assimilate much.
