I worked for a GP clinic when I was at Uni and they used to get HEAPS of cards, choccies, wine from patients at Xmas. One older European gentleman even gave one Dr a whole pig one day and an invite to his daughter's wedding!
So it's not weird, it's nice and it happens a lot!

So have you given your Dr a christmas gift before or do you think it's a creepy thing to do?
I don't think it's creepy - depends on what you give I suppose.

Like you, we love our family GP. He has gone over and beyond the call of duty in previous years and we always give him a card and a good gift to reflect our appreciation of his dedicated service.

Whoops I realised how old this thread is and I haven't replied, I don't come on here very often lol! Thankyou for all the replies, I did give my Dr a little gift & she was very happy about it so I was glad to do it & glad it isn't seen as creepy, I'm just a little paranoid I think!
