One person put it on a counter and i went back there a week later and it still there untouched and one family member handed hers over to someone else to keep - in front of me My baking is not sh1t, they were nice and expensively made chocolates and biscuits that i took forever to make - even if you don't like it at least pretend to preserve my feelings!
My sewing gifts have been better received (so i stick to those now) but again i have given something seen it put down and visited weeks later to see it in the same spot, still in the gift bag clearly unused. makes me wonder why i bother tbh.
same here!! My family are very happy with my home made things, they love them. DHs do not!!

so a friend of mine is hand making (on the computer but still, designing and drawing) cards of santa heads on spikes and she asked for my adress. i'm thrilled

so i asked for her new address and now i want to make her something too. shop bought just wouldn't cut it after what she's doing. no idea what to doooooooo

but to the point- i love the fact that she's hand-doing this!

i made a collage thing for my birds' vet and got it laminated. at some point i'll send it. i think they'll like it.

Oh I love handmade presents. Food, cards, anything.

If someone gave me a handmade quilt I would be in raptures!
