    Default Pregnancy Weight Gain

Hi! I'm 15 weeks (or thereabouts) & have gained 2.5kg. It sounds & feels like a lot to me so I wondered - is it?! I'd love to hear your pregnancy weight experience if you don't mind sharing - I used to be very overweight & lost 22kg through diet & exercise, but through love-fat (post meeting DP!) was about 10kg heavier than I would have liked when I fell pregnant. I'm struggling with accepting the weight gain as I'm afraid I won't be able to lose it afterwards. I'm starting with a new PT on Wednesday though, no more slouching!!

Im 21 weeks tomorrow and have put on 4-5kg? Im really happy with this, as I gained 3kg by 8 weeks and was worried it would continue so quickly.

I did have morning sickness, but found it better to eat to stop nausea, so I am surprised I didnt gain more.

I had gained the exact same with DS by 20 weeks, so I think thats just what my body is supposed to gain, I dont eat junk food or chocolate or sweets. However, I started this preg -8kg than my weight when I fell pregnant with DS. I gained about 15-16kg in total with DS. I'm hoping to gain about 12-13kg this time. But I'm not worried... I eat when I'm hungry, I make the healthier choices when I can and give into my cravings (which have been mainly fruit and veg, what rip off! lol) My body will gain and grow how it wants to, and Ill just have to work a little afterwards to get it back how it was.

I'm almost 26 weeks and have put on 8 or 9kgs, so to me 2.5kg at 15 weeks sounds great! Definitely within normal range. I was a normal weight before falling pregnant too. With DD I put on 13kg all up and breastfed it all off, so I'm not too worried but I'm sure I'll have to work harder this time to get it off because the weight is much easier to put on this time!

I started off a bit underweight, but at 15 weeks, I had put on 2.4kg. I ended up putting on a total of 16kg. 8kg came off with no effort in the first 6weeks after I had DD. She is now almost 4 months old and I am half way through losing the other 8kg. As someone who has always been skinny (through genetic luck rather than effort), I have discovered a new found respect for people who lose weight through diet and exercise. It really does require a lot of work and I take my hat off to anyone who has the mental toughness to stick it out and reach their ideal weight.

I'm currently 26wks and have put on 14kg so far At around 16wks I had put on 4kgs

I think the reason I have put on so much weight is before falling pregnant I was going to the gym alot & really pushing myself aswell as watching what I ate. Now I still go to the gym but take it alot easier and I'm eating alot more... But I'm not too worried the same happened with my last 2 pregnancies, I eventually lost the weight & I know I will again this time around.

It is normal to put on quite a bit of weight isn't it? A website I was on said that for my weight and height (5 foot 7", 63 kilos) I would ideally be putting on 12 to 17 kilos.
