Like, I go walking in the evenings, and in every street on the weekends it appears that a few neighbours get together and have a bbq while the kids play. Why can't we have that? It's depressing.
We met the renovating couple a few weeks after we moved in. Well, we met the wife. She invited us in and we spoke, then she promised she would bring hubby and kids over to meet us, swap numbers etc. But that never happened and they have snubbed us ever since
We are nice people, we are considerate and friendly. I don't know why they did that?

We did for this house, and the agent said the owners hardly noticed their neighbours, and the owners themselves told us the same.

    Exactly.
Now that we live locally, we will check any potential purchases out at various times. We couldn't before as it was a 1 hour trip each way.

Just sucks coz there aren't any properties for sale that we like right now.

Hmm bugger, my grandfather used to talk to neighbors when thinking about buying a house, to get an idea on it all.. And the agents were generally pretty honest with us.

Very, plus huge pool, gym, lounge facility, tennis courts, sauna, steam room... oh and ME!

Heaps of kids in the complex, but it's so quiet you wouldn't think so.
