    Default Maxi Cosi Mico help

    Hi
I just bought a Maxi Cosi Mico capsule secondhand and it didn't come with instructions, so I have downloaded what I think is the USA manual.
In the pictures it has what they call a harness retainer which looks like a clip-together strap that holds the two chest straps together on the baby's chest.
Are these on the Australian version? Just wondering if I need to buy a replacement one.

Did you buy the Aust seat? There is 3 different versions of this seat.

That clip thing is only on american seats, so if you bought a seat with Australian standards sticker on it, it doesn't come with that and is not required here.

Aha, thanks for that! Yes it's an Australian seat. I thought the strap actually looks like a good idea though.

FYI apparently the Aus seats don't have chest straps because they increase the risk of carotid artery damage. Good to know.

Really? Do you know why? It seems like the clip would be a lot lower than the artery, or am I completely missing something?

Chest clips go over the chest, hence the name. They arent going to go any where near the artery if fitted over the chest.

Houdini Stop does the same job & not needed on a little babe.
