Default Want to buy baby stuff but haven't even conceived yet

Is it just me being over the top or obsessed with ttc or is there other women that look at baby stuff and just so want to buy everything right now and not waiting till it actually happens.

My my dh and I talk aout ttc conceive but he doesn't want to even know about looking at baby stuff and it makes me feel so obsessed with it all

I got told not to count my chickens until they hatch by my DP. I have a bought a few things and kind of feel like a weirdo but it'll happen so I'll be prepared plus where we live baby stores don't exist so when I was in Sydney I got a few gorgeous things on sale, just unisex. I feel weird myself but if I was preparing a nursery or pushing an empty pram I'd feel I'd completely lost it... Not there yet! I don't see why it's a big deal. I bought kitchen stuff before I moved out and bed linen for my future house! That happened and I use it now.

I bought stuff before we conceived. Mainly because I am a bit of a bargain hunter and I would rather buy stuff early and half price than pay full price for anything!

I bought toys and equipment like a highchair etc but no clothes.

I don't earn a whole lot of money so it really helped to spread the cost out!

This. I've got 2 shopping bags of bits and bobs that I've picked up on sale. Being able to buy things really helps take the edge off having to wait to TTC.

I started buying thing little bits and pieces before we had even agreed to ttc number 3. And hey, if we don't end up having another (although we ar trying), then I can give it to friends, family or even donate it to people who do need it. So either way it won't go to waste.

I was adamant that I wasn't going to do this as I would hate to jinx myself... BUT, accidentally bought a onesie the other day while xmas shopping for my nephews... I really have no idea how it got in the trolley

Its to give to DH when I get BFP though so definitely no more buying now until Im pregnant.
