    Default Homemade Dips

Anyone got any easy dip recipes I am bored with my usual hommus (is that how it's spelt?) and my boring creamed tuna dip.

Need some new ones can you share?

Capsicum, cashew and sundried tomato dip
    1 clove garlic
    2 Tbsp grated parmesan
    1 red capsicum quartered
    150g sundried tomatoes, drained
    160g raw cashews
    40g/mls olive oil
    40g/mls white vinegar

Just blitz all the ingredients together in a food processor until you have a chunky style dip.

    250gm cream cheese philly
    Medium can of Tuna
    2 cloves of garlic

Mix together and tasty tuna dip

    2 avocados
    Small onion finely chopped
2 cloves garlic crushed with some salt mixed in to the crushed garlic
    Couple drops of tobasco sauce

Mush the avocados through a fine sieve, add onions, garlic/salt paste and tobasco sauce and you have basic guacamole.

apart from home made guacamole my favourite dip is home made beetroot dip, I eat it on sandwiches and everything.
You just need to cut the top off and roast a large beetroot in foil with a bit of oil until it's soft (1.5 to 2 hours, I turn the oven off after 1.5 hours and let it cool in there), peel it wearing gloves (it makes a mess) and chuck it in the food processor with a block of fetta.
It's seriously the easiest dip ever and it's so yummy.

Baba ganoush is my other favourite .... I just roast a large eggplant, peel it and mix it up in the food processor with garlic, lemon juice, tahini and S&P to taste, and oil for consistency. I always eat a whole thing of baba ganoush when DP and I go to the turkish restaurant, love it.

http://www.dedemed.com/mediterranean/muhammara-recipeThis is the best dip ever. I use roasted peppers from a jar, and started off making pomegranate molasses (really not hard) until I recently found some premade stuff at the local Asian grocer, a d also at a gourmet deli around the corner. You need to try this dip! It's amazing
