Frosty - that is interesting! When I was with Molloy (last cycle) I got 12 eggs and 9 were mature. With my last cycle with Wazza I got 14 eggs but only 6 mature!!! So I'm hoping using the pregnyl add back will help with this?? How many eggs/mature did you get on 450iu??
Sorry for all the questions . I just want to be all over this like a rash

    Hi Ladies

Amanda - Boo to AF. Could it be all the meds your on delaying her? I've never done DHEA or Saizen so can only guess lol.

Hi Lilly, I'm presuming it's the synarel delaying her ?? I just wish it would hurry up so I can get started . I'm not on Saizen just yet. I'm to start that on day 4.

Frosty - how many days did you start Saizen before fsh?

Amanda, nicole and lillyponds---My first 3 cycles with old FS were all down reg cycles 300u x 11 days round 1-2,10 eggs each time, maturity 7-8, 3 blasts. Round 1 BFP with FET MC 6 weeks, round 2 2 blasts, BFP MC at 15 weeks, 3rd round 10 days x 300u produced 8 eggs, all 8 mature, 3 blasts. Round 3 BFP MC at 5 weeks. Then 4th round I switched to Wazza, we tried an antag first (that's the worse cycle for me) 450x3, then up to 600x8, 12 eggs, only 5 mature, 2xD3 embies, BFN. Round 5 back to down reg 525x3, then up to 600x6, 9 eggs, 3 mature, 3xD3 embies, BFN. Round 6 Down reg with estrogen priming and LH addback, 300x4(my idea!) then up to 375x7, 6 eggs, 5 mature, 4xD3 embies, 2 transferred fresh BFN, then we did an FET but all 4 embies in storage succumbed, Round 7 down reg same recipe but slight increase in dose, 375x8, 15 eggs, 11 mature (yep I overstimmed this one), 2 blasts, BFP MC 6 weeks, Round 8, same recipe, 375x5, then up to 450x7, only 3 eggs(another horrible cycle, I think he went a bit longer hoping the others will catch up but might have missed catching the lead follicle), 2 mature, 2 blasts, BFN. Round 9, same recipe except adding Saizen, (and using different FS for EPU and another for ET, haha team effort) 450x10, 11 eggs, 6 mature, 2 blasts, current pregnancy.

Wazza wanted Saizen started on CD1 (ie. with AF) but I didn't get my AF that month due to DHEA, the combination of OCP and Synarel, so I started jabbing without AF, and started the Saizen on the same day of first jab, so effectively I only used half of the Saizen as planned.

So from my history, it really didn't matter how much I stim on or how many days and how many eggs they retrieve, I almost always end up with 2, maximum 3 transferable embies.

    Hi girls!!

    Littlejoey - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Amanda and Nicole - With my FS it was not necessary for AF to show if your already down regulated on Synarel. I always got AF, but my clinic told me if AF does not show up it does not matter as long as your E2 count is under 200 it's ok to start. Have you been on the OCP, can't remember if you did say you were or not. Will give you a bit of history of my cylces as well Amanda and Nicole if it helps. 1st stim cycle down reg I was started on 225units puregon, ended up with 7 eggs, only 3 mature, 3 2 day embryo's freeze all, but had 30+ follicles, had a very rare thing happen where when I went in for EPU they could not retrieve most of the eggs from the follicles as they would not let go of the follicles as my FS described to me at the time, they flushed the follicles over and over again and wern't able to get those damn eggs. I asked how did he know there were eggs in them, he said if there are cumulus cells there are usually eggs, anyway I ended up with OHSS and landed myself in hospital for a few days. Stim cycle 2 antagonist, 150us of puregon 7 eggs, 7 mature 6 morula's on d5 nothing frozen. Stim cycle 3, down reg, 150us gonal-f and luveris for 3 days then bumped up to 187.5us, 7 eggs, 7 mature, 3 fertilised, 2 D3 embies transferred BFP then M/C 1 blastocyst frozen. Stim cycle 4, down reg, 187.5us gonal-f and luveris, 10 eggs, 6 mature, 5 fertilised, 3 blastocysts, fresh transfer chemical pregnancy, FET with 2 frozen embies BFP with DD and her twin which we lost at about 8 weeks. Stim cycle 5, down reg, 183.3 puregon and luveris, 13 eggs 9 mature, 2 fertilised, 2 D3 embies transferred BFN. Stim cycle 6, down reg and luveris, 183.3 puregon, 12 eggs, 10 mature, 8 fertilised, 2 cavitating morula's BFN. Stim cycle 7, down reg, 183.3 puregon and luveris, 8 eggs, 6 mature 5 fertilised, 1 Blastocyst and 1 morula, BFN. I have had no frosties in the last 3 stims I have done. As you can see it can vary from cycle to cycle. With all cycles started jabbing on D2 and usually had EPU between D12-14. Amanda what sort of egg numbers are you getting on those high stims? I was told the perfect number of eggs is between 5-10, there is tendency to have better quality embryo's with these numbers. It's so hard to know what to do. It does my head in as well. Is it my eggs, what can we do to improve things or is DH sperm? When will that golden egg appear.

Amanda - I also see Jason Jackson also and have a copy of his book if you want to read

Nicole - How did you go with the psychic?

Lilly - Just out of curiosity what dose of fsh has Wazza got you on? When I went and saw him in Jan for a 2nd opinion he suggested he would bump me up to 200 of fsh and I said no way, then he said how about we try 175. He realised I did hyperstimulate really badly just on 225. My FS at the moment says I am one of those girls who just tend to stimulate too much if you bump it up to much, in most women it is not so much of an issue unless they have PCOS, which they though I might have had, but all testing showed I did not, but I could be very borderline anyway. I have always been regular with my cycles etc as well.

Sparkle - Let us know how you get on with your FS and springwood this week.

AFM - Had my Laporoscopy and hysteroscopy done last Thursday.
All went well. My FS did not do it as he had to go an urgent trip to the UK for family stuff, so I was a little upset, but he gave me the choice of either waiting for him to come back or another specialist to do it. Another FS did itand I was really happy with him. Just did not want to wait another month to have it done if I waited for my FS to come back. Did not have much active endometriosis at all and my ovaries and uterus were adhered to the bowel wall, so now that's been fixed. Still my right tube is blocked, bummer!!! All in all the pregnancy has improved things dramatically

    Hi Ladies

Tezzy - Wazza has me on 180iu and he has increased it to 200iu today until Sunday. Last stim cycle I stimmed for 15 days. This cycle ot as long lol. Glad the lap & hys went well. Bummer about your blocked tube. Nothing that can't be worked around though. Pregnancy does great things for your body lol.

Had my scan this morning. My lining is pefect apparently. We can use it for show and tell lol. We are looking at around 13 follies at EPU so FX no OHSS this time.

He's upped my puregon to 200iu as of this morning. And EPU is planned for Tuesday 17th.

    Littlejoey: Congrats on your BFP

Lilly: Also wishing you all the luck for your next EPU. Thats great folli numbers.

Amanda: Has AF come yet? Where is she? I once didnt get my af unitl day 38 or 39 something like that. My body was all over the place.

AFM: So i am going to follow in Tezzybob's steps and Im having my lap next week. I also want to be all clear for my next cycle who knows when. Ive also started to see a naturpath and will start preparing my body for the lap etc etc.

So its now just a waiting game for me, wish it wasnt but I just want to enter a new cycle with all the dots crossed out - no issues inside, body full of vitamins, acupunture, oh and last but not least I have proctitus, just something else that I have if being infertile isnt enough.

Tez---Looking at your stats I reckon the sperm problem is a major issue, your eggs is as best as they can get and they're not bad (for your age). Have you done HA-ICSI or PICSI? Would they make a diff?

Sparkle---Goodluck for the lap next week.

Amanda---How many days since you stopped the OCP? Maybe worth ringing Wazza to see if you should have a BT to see where you're at.

Hi all! CD36 and still NO AF
Sorry Tezzy I haven't had time and not on the computer to type all my cycles and it's a little depressing but I will do it on Friday night. I'm on my phone now
I wasn't on the OCP I was hoping my body would cooperate . Maybe I should still call Warren. My face has a few pimples so I'm presuming it's not far away, but how annoying.

Sparkletwinke - good luck with your lap next week.

Frosty - thanks for posting all your stats

Lillyponds - 13 follies! fingers crossed for a good haul at EPU.

Tezzy - thanks for posting your stats too and sorry I haven't replied yet about the psychic. I have been waiting until I was on a computer instead of the phone, because if I start typing on the phone it will take 3 hours to write everything down!

The lady I saw is called Van and she is located at Redbank Plains. I know 3 people that have seen her. At first I was petrified. In fact she asked me if I was scared to be there! Of course my biggest fear was hearing her say "no more babies for you". She didn't say no, but she didn't say yes either. She said a few things that suggested we might have another baby, but nothing specifically directed at me. For example, when I first walked in she said "who is having a baby?" well I don't have any close friends or family that are pregnant so I held my breath that she was talking about me! She didn't want me to give her any detailed answers to things, she likes a simple 'yes' or 'no' which two of my friends warned me about. She gets a little annoyed if you try to give detail when she hasn't asked for it! She picked up on so many things that no one would have been able to guess, things about my mum, nanna and my hubby's job. When she eventually worked out towards the end that I was trying for a baby through IVF she said "it is going to be good". Again, doesn't indicate whether we will get a baby but it reassures me. She told me that I worry too much. She said the amount that I worry is like a disease of the mind and what is worrying going to achieve? It was a real wake up call. It made me feel better when she said it is going to be ok (whether we have a baby or not) because to me, having a baby means it won't be ok. I suppose I could have chatted with anyone and having them say the same thing, but for some reason this was the wake up call that I needed and I have really started to let go of obesessing for another baby and worrying about IVF. For example, she tells me that we will move house and we will be absolutely thrilled with this. We have wanted to sell our house for years but every time we put it on the market nothing happens. I honestly came to terms with it this time last year that "when it's mean to sell it will sell" and I am not concerned one bit of when that will be. I am trying to adopt this way of thinking to having a baby. I can't say I am 100% there yet, but seeing Van brought me much closer to that way of thinking because I know it will be ok - whether we get a new baby or not.

On a side note I have a very sick DD at the moment and she has been refered to an ENT specialist. She keeps getting fluid/infections in her ear and the GP is thinking she might need grommets I am so stressed about this, she is only 22 months. I think everyone here can relate that when you have gone through IVF to get your baby, the last thing you can imagine is them being sick and requiring an operation. Even though I know it's a routine op, it worries me so much. She is my miracle and I would die without her.

I meet with Wazza on Tuesday for my May cycle plan, but I am now making DDs ear issues the number one health priority and we have an appointment in 2 weeks to see what the ENT specialist says. I am petrified she will need the operation for grommets in which case, May cycle might be postponed to June or futher down the track. Trying to believe in 'what will be, will be'. It's very hard.

Thank you for reading my rambling....
