Love bug - I hope those numbers are doubling as they should. This whole process is torturous. Thinking of you. I have read on forums that a number like that is a viable pregnancy and people report they go on to have healthy babies. Don't give up hope just yet.

I just checked my calendar and I was actually 15dpo, not 17 as I thought. For you at 16dpo you're above the mid range for twins, according to Betabase (which I know is also more conservative in it's ranges compared to other sites I've seen). http://www.betabase.info/showBasicChart.php?type=Twin
Apparently the doubling rate is more indicative of multiples, rather than just the numbers alone so wait until you get your next result and you might have a better idea.

If I were a betting girl I'd say you have two in there but it is still possible you are just producing a high amount of HCG for one. How do you feel about twins?

For me, I've had a pretty good pregnancy so far - I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and starting to feel less queasy at night. My back is getting sore however and I've gained more weight than I'd have liked to. (Entirely the fault of too many morning teas and not the babies!). My skin is also breaking out a lot - all in all I probably feel better than I look! It has not felt different to my singleton pregnancy and we're absolutely thrilled to be expecting two..It's actually still very hard to believe!

Can't wait to hear your update

I am really wondering now if there are two in there. I emailed the nurse at my clinic to see what she thought. Which was that bhcg level does not indicate one or two. I had to wait until scan at 6.5 weeks. So we won't know for another two weeks. I am feeling really blessed we are pregnant and if there is two we are extra blessed. I think it would be really hard work for a few years until the twins turn 2. Women all over the world have twins and manage, so if I am having them I am sure I will manage. How well I don't know though. I do worry about my son who is nearly two. I worry if it were twins how much attention he will miss out on as I would be super busy with two babies. Now I am getting way ahead of myself though. For now I am still dancing and smiling that we have been blessed with a baby. I keep praying that we have an uneventful 9 months. I will keep you posted with levels and scan etc.

Thanks so much fr your replies! I have heard that Dr Wazza is really good so I phone his office today to make an appointment but he's booked out until November at the Brisbane office - can you believe it??? Wow! So unfortunately I'll have to see someone else in the meantime because we'd like to take advantage of our Medicare threshold while we still can.
I think I'll definitely try QFG & I guess I'll meet any FS there. U never know.

I heard the same thing at my last appointment. Apparently his is planning on retiring next year but is not planning on any new patients. I think he just wants to see most of his current ones through to the finish line before he retires

Hi ladies - quick question - can anyone recommend an acupuncturist in Brisbane CBD? I can think of one on Creek St, but would prefer one that ive been referred to.

    Thanks

(i had 2 x embies transferred today, so i'm hoping it all goes well - one early blasty and one morula. they're going to grow the other one out to tomorrow and see if it can be frozen. The other 3 embies arrested yesterday)

KandP - I wish you the best of luck these coming 2 weeks, I hope those little Bubs burry in and create a nice little home in your womb. Fingers crossed the other one survives to be frozen for a much later transfer. Take care of yourself

Hey, I go to an acupuncturist called Susan at Assiram Natural Therapies in Brisbane. She is great! Really professional etc but also really friendly. Dunno what she's like for fertility acupuncture, I go to her for chronic neck pain, but still thought I'd recommend her.

haha heartstringz!!!! I only just went to Assiram today for my first post-ET treatment - it was a-mazing. I was so so relaxed, I didn't want to go back to work and i'm like jelly now - CAN'T wait for bed I feel better than i have since Thursday last week. I don't know how much of a difference it will make to my fertility, but it was just wonderful.

I also had some great news today - we started with 6 eggs - i had 2 transferred at day 5, and 3 arrested at day 3. We were so disheartened, however I received an email from my FN to say that they grew out the last morula to day 6 and it's now a BB grade blasty ON ICE! As we have an issue with egg/embryo quality, this is a huge win for us.
