    Default Hello to Everyone :-)

    Hi Everyone!

Just been reading some of the posts by all the lovely Melbourne women, and thought I would say Hi!

I am in the middle of my second cycle at the moment. We are with CFC and Dr Eskander. I have PCOs, Lupus and Lupus Anticoagulant, so we thought he needed a bit of a challenge! Also our relationship is 'sperm challenged' so we are using a donor.

Our first cycle (antagonist) went really well.. until EPU when they retrieved 6 eggs, but they were all too immature to be fertilised :-(
This time we are on a long down reg cycle, and on on Monday we should start the jabbing (well more jabbing because I already have to jab Clexane)
ATM I am just hoping we will have something to transfer, and then I will take it from there! that we may also have something to freeze, because every time we use any oestrogen I am always worried that something will go wrong....when I started the pill at 19 to control my feral periods, it caused a TIA and a DVT..... scares the **** out of me really! Had a migraine from the sniffing last week and all I could think was I was having another stroke! Didn't tell DP though, because she is unwilling to take any risk with my health if there are other options... so not letting in that I am worried there will be any :-)
Lovely to meet you all to everyone

    Hi ladies,

It's been a long time I visited this thread. Am just wondering how the ladies who cycled together with me are.

Zakmick, how is your knee recovering? The cold here in Melbourne doesnt really help I guess. I was away for holiday and caught up with a long-time friend, who happened to have knee problems too. It has been giving her knees pain and she is doing physio. I hope your knee recovers soon.

Talking about Traditional Chinese Medicine, I was on it for my 3rd and 4th IVF cycle. My dr prescribes medicine for brewing according to where my cycle phases were. I really am not sure if TCM has helped us achieve our pregnancy. The results were worse in my 3rd cycle (less than 50% fertilisation and poor quality embryos) but for my 4th cycle, the results were fantastic (100% fertilisation and pregnancy). However, for my 4th cycle, I did a lot of self-message and also had foot reflexology thrown in. I felt that those helped me. TCM takes a long while to take effect so I was on it for more than a year, and we did spend a bomb on it.

Someone was asking about Dr Barak (sp). I saw him a few times while I was with MIVF. He was the best, always caring and gentle. Really loved him. You can be sure you are in good hands. He specialises in male problems though.

How are you Little Feet, LittleRay? And whoever recognises me?

Hi Zabella, good luck with the rest of your cycle, hope it goes well and you're feeling ok. All the meds can be nasty sometimes.

Mom2one hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly and u are feeling well.

AFM- I am still in a state of shock at the moment, after 3 years of trying to conceive and 2 failed ivf cycles, IM PREGNANT....Naturally!!!! I just can't believe it as they gave us a one percent chance of natural, I'm so shocked! I wasn't even going to POAS coz every time my periods been really late I do a test and was always negative and i get more depressed. My periods have always been irregular coz of pcos, so at times went over 40 days. This time was 39 days and I checked my diary and this whole yr I've been quite regular around 31 days coz I've been losing weight, eating better, excercising, seeing a naturopath and acupuncturist etc to improve things so I thought I'd just take a test so at least I'd know or sure, and it was positive! I went to doctors yesterday for a blood test to confirm and it was definitely positive.

I thought I'd be relieved but now I'm just scared something will go wrong, with all my crazy pcos hormone problems I just can't relax and enjoy this, I feel like its too good to be true! I wish I could fast forward time to the end then I can be happy and relax when I have a healthy baby in my arms!

Now I'm making appointments left right and centre trying to see every natural health care professional to see what I can do to give me the best chance and I have no idea if my FS who is also a gyno and obstetrician can still be my doc so I'm seeing him too on Friday coz maybe I should get an early scan?? Considering my history? It's all a bit daunting and overwhelming at the moment, any advice from anyone with pcos would be good, I just want to do everything I can to give it the best chance.

Hi Zabella and welcome I hope your journey with us is short and sweet!!

Mom2oneds: hello lady of travel!! I bet you wish you were still overseas in the warmth. Knee is ok, but you are right the cold doesn't help much. Interesting about your experiences with TCM, thankyou for sharing!!

Di: OMG!!! Congratulations!! That is just wonderful news, so very excited for you and DH. The gp I told you about does shared care in Sunbury and the TCM lady today said her partner could see you on a Saturday at the clinic. She said its a bit hard working around her 3 chn to change her hours but Cath Riva could see you. Let me know if you want Cath's numbers, she has treated me once and she was just lovely- very caring. Cath is in Indonesia currently but will be back in 2 wks.
Again I'm very happy for you xxxx

    Awesome news di - congrats.

Zabella - I am also with Dr Eskander at CFC and love him. He is very thorough knowledgable and once you get to know him has a funny sense of humour. Hopefully you are not feeling too bad on the drugs. We have MFI and because of hubbies poor response needs to give him a TESA and get the swimmers out that way.

    Zakmick how are you tracking?

AFM - we are waiting to start our next cycle with day 1 in august. Have still been taking the herbs from the acupuncturist and trying to get fit and back to the gym most days.

    Have a good day all.
