Congrats Zakmick on seeing the heartbeat....I am booked in to the womens as well. When there for DD and had wonderful care from everyone I encountered. I'm going there again this time but doing the midwife program. Im outside their intake area as well but for some reason I still got accepted. Not sure why cause I am classified as having a low risk pregnancy and even my age doesn't change that.

leannep, I got pregnant naturally at 36 and did IVF at 39 and had 12 & 13 eggs collected each time. I think honestly it depends on each person how they age and their eggs age to a degree so being 37 might not pose an issue at all but something to talk over with you FS.

KMVW, I cant believe how much MIVF has gone up in their fees over the last two years....its over $2000....and that crap bed fee that they just introduced is just bull crap.......

M2ODS, how are you feeling. Nearly halfway there already!

Little feet I have everything crossed for you! I had made plans for what to do next when I was preg with this one. I just didn't feel i was either but look at what happened.....I hope you get the same surprise!

    Hi to everyone else.

Im now 39wks. Spent last night puking my guts up for some reason. It was horrible as I was home alone with DD as DH was at work. Luckily I managed to get him to come home and after a few hours it stopped. Bubs still moving around heaps so all good there.....Its just a matter of waiting now. No pre-labour or signs of anything happening....but just resting alot....so its all good now Im not vomiting!

Stimulation IVF Cycle + ICSI will be $9190
Embryo Thaw Cycle will be $2605
Hospital bed fee (East Melbourne Specialist Day Hospital -OPU $830 & ET $395)
Embryo storage fee $160 per 6 months in arrears.

As for Crinone, no I was on a natural FET. I did have Crinone on my antagonist cycle, but that didn't delay AF. I never made it to the BT on the fresh cycle. My normal cycle is 28 days, I have never had a cycle like this.

I'm a little concerned with my cycle this month, it is all over the place. It is never like this. I feel I should have a month break but the FS said it's fine. I guess the next scan will show any problems.

Thanks for letting me rant I'm feeling a little better, starting to feel a little more positive. Thanks Mom2oneDS, your bfp gives me hope.
    I hear you!
I got given the new prices yesterday & was ****ed off & bluntly said to her not much point in sending it to me because if the next transfer is not successful, I'll be leaving as I'm not happy with their service & when she said the bed fee, I thought what a load of BS... Seriously, a whole 10 mins!!! :-/

Good luck, I too am looking at moving to monash

Zakmick, that's just the best news. I'm not surprised you cried, it's just the best thing seeing that very first sign of a real live little bubs. My DH cried and hugged the FS much to her horror (she wasn't very warm and fuzzy). Congratulations. Grown strong little one... or ones

Kmvw, I'm with MIVF but had no idea their prices had gone up again. Why are they so greedy? We just received a bill today for a test for Cystic Fibrosis that we already had done with our first bubs. I'm fuming. Kmvw, hang in there... your BFP will come, it just takes it's time for some of us. It was 3 x IUIs and 3 IVF cycles before we got ours and I'm now up to cycle number 6 trying for number 2. Stay strong, it's a tough journey, but so worth it in the end.

Jaclicky, wow! 39 weeks. So glad to hear the vomiting subsided. Wonder if your tum is running out of room for food . Hooe bubs comes soon and can't wait to hear how it all went and the name you've chosen

Leannep, you don't need your head read. You are one very strong and determined lady. You should feel very proud of yourself for working so hard towards your dream. I so hope your FS gets that winner cycle for you. I've made an appointment with the mighty 'Wazza' in Queensland if this cycle doesn't work. He is renowned for getting older ladies pregnant and also having a very caring and humorous approach. I figure if we fail with him, then I have done all I can and will then give up on trying for a 2nd. I am still cheering you on from the sidelines, so am always here if you need a boost or moral support.

Littlefeet, hope you're hanging in there. So many ladies that have not felt very positive end up with their BFP, so I'm hoping you're one of those too.

Kmvw, with Monash IVF, they have the HA-ICSI whereby they used HA to select the best sperm for ICSI. Our 3 cycles with them were all HA-ICSI but we only had success at 3rd try. MIVF doesnt have this. We thought their sperm magnification technology has come in and wanted to do our last cycle with MIVF but unfortunately they dont have it yet. We went back to Monash and did the last cycle and got the BFP.

You are still young for IVF so dont give up hope. I guess after your FETs you can decide if you want to switch. I understand that Monash up their prices every year too.

You mentioned MFI, was it low count or abnormality issues? My DH has all the problems you can imagine.

Sorry girls no personals- I'm venting a little...

Wow this thread had been busy over the last day- I love it!!

Thank-you so much girls we are ecstatic, but what FS said to me 'it's a cautious congratulations' keeps going through my head. He said its early days so anything could happen...

We have never made it to scan date or seen a heartbeat, so everything is travelling along as it should be.

Was so happy Wednesday and now I have been a bit flat. I feel like I'm in limbo land again. Gp doesn't want to refer me to rwh until after 12 wks, so she is able to write a detailed referral, and she has given me a list of not to do's that i feel i should be in a padded room- so have no hospital yet.

I keep looking at the picture to remind myself it's all real...

I hope the next 5 wks fly....

Zakmick- I think it's totally normal to feel how you do. You get the elation of good news but then you look ahead to the next step and it's another wait with more worries and 'what-ifs'. I spent most of my pregnancy this way and I think it's definitely a by-product of the stress of IVF. It's like we can't accept that we might actually have something go normally!! If your GP isn't referring you til after week 12 are you going to have another scan before then?

I might ask her for one it might help...I go and see her again on the 24th May, as all she spoke about the other day was the 12 wk scan.

I think your right, we can never look to far ahead with ivf... And it's never a solid yes this is happening, it's always if or maybe.

DH is talking about painting rooms and it's freaking me out!

Think I'm also a bit flat that there wasn't twins- is that greedy? I feel little heartbroken for the one that didn't survive. (DW said he has missed many twins coz they hide but I think there is only one) one perfect little Bub is all I want but it still doesn't stop me grieving a little.

DH is refusing to chat about the nt scan too, I don't want to have it but he isn't giving me an answer. The gp wants to have a chat to both of us about it.

So writing all this I can now understand why I'm a bit flat..
