Happy Birthday Quartz!!! I am one of those people who dreads turning a year older every year, and with the added pressure of dropping fertility it makes is difficult to celebrate a birthday. But guess what my dear, you are pregnant! You are a lovely 35 year old pregnant lady. Regardless of previous pregnancies and of the scan in a few weeks, right now you are pregnant, and the statistics of dropping fertility can go jump!!

Happy birthay for yesterday Quartz! And yes, as the girls say, enjoy being pregnant on your birthday! I am older than you, so hopefully the freefall in fertility doesn't start til a bit later.

Felicita - I don't think we can take credit for that one, they just told us that's how it would work. In fact, one of our appointments with my FS he had just come from doing an EPU that he said was the same situation as us ... except Dr G didn't find any sperm and the couple hadn't organised a donor in advance. So someone else has forged the way there. I did think it was strange when Dr G told us he does surgery on Thursdays, and then everyone told us both procedures will be on the same day, and then said they do EPU only on Mon/Wed/Fri. I asked how that works with Dr G and they said, oh he just comes in and does it whenever he's needed, the doctors work together to schedule it.

AFM: Had scan and BT this morning. The scan was with the sonographer this time, not the nurse, (although the nurse called the sonographer a stenographer – bahahaha) and started as the external abdominal scan (full bladder – jeez I was busting!), apparently this was so the FS could work out the best way to access my ovaries. Then got to go empty it and she did the dildo-cam (thanks Lindylou for that gem). She reckons there were about 8 follies on the right, and didn’t really say on the left, but I think there were about 6 maybe. The good news is that it wasn’t like a couple were bigger but the rest were tiny, they were all similar in size. All around 11 or 12 mm, with the biggest one 14mm. She said that was really good, and everything’s going well – slow & steady. But to keep up lots of water. They still couldn’t tell us when EPU will be – still just said Wed or Fri, which we already knew. Makes it hard for DH to give enough notice to his boss for his time off. But she knows what it is and why he doesn’t know exactly which day, so that’s ok. Will wait for the BT results, but the nurse and sonographer seemed to agree that I would probably need to start the "Orangutan" tonight.

Bella- ditto TTHC's post, really hope your levels have sky-rocketed

Peonies- great follie count, congrats! The dildocam is standard terminology around here . You made me laugh with "Orangutan". Good luck with that one, it does sting & can give you a swollen/lumpy/angry looking patch for a little while. All normal though, so don't be alarmed.

Quartz- Happy birthday for yesterday!! I'm one year behind you and totally dread the b'day rolling around every year we are still TTC. I hope you'll start cherishing b'days from now on, especially with Mummy presents to look forward to!

Felicita- thanks for stopping by the 'Early Blastocyst' thread, hope you didn't mind me stealing your thunder.

Nattie- Hoping you haven't turned into a TWW crazy lady!

Traveler- . You are too young to be worrying about b'days at your tender age!

Catemer & Paddlegirl- hope you get through the final days of your TWW without going mental

Hi to everyone else. Been a little quiet here lately.

AFM- I will be "off the grid" this weekend. DH & I are going camping, and I'm leaving the android phone at home so there can be no google, BH, FB, Words with Friends, etc. I'll take an old mobile instead that does nothing but phone calls & SMS... that will be hard! This TWW has been the hardest ever, so I really need to get away from it all & try to relax. Hopefully back with good news on Sun night when I unleash the HPTs

Lindy have an awesome time this weekend!! Hopefully it will be a good distraction for a few days! I was secretly hoping you'd POAS before you went, so we have something to celebrate while you're gone!!! You better come back on here right away on Sunday night with the good news!!!

Torment: using the 5 spare minutes you have in your work day to call for your BT results only to be told all the nurses are on lunch !!!!

Not feeling positive as my line on a frer hpt is barely visible today... I'll update when I know. Thanks for the support xx

Thanks Lindylou. The FN said that about the Orangutan too. Seeing as I get skin reactions to everything anyway (I'm even allergic to perfume ), I have no doubt I'll get a rash. Oooh, how exciting. Have fun camping & will be looking out for the good news on Sunday evening!

Bella - holding my breath waiting for your news, sweetie. Everything is crossed!!
AFM: Clinic rang just before. My e2 rose a lot and was 1500 today. She said they're really happy with that. Based on e2 level EPU could be Wed, but she said based on follie size more likely Friday. So we'll see what Monday brings - still don't know.

Bella: So sorry to hear they are making you wait for the results hon, hoping they call you soon with some good news.

Lindylou: Hope you have a fabulous weekend away hon, what a great distraction and to not take your smart phone is a great idea. Can’t wait until you POAS on Sunday and share the wonderful news. I too think the TWW’s get harder the more you do. Also congrats on the fabulous news about your official promotion. It must be nice to now be formally recognised for it and get the extra $$.

TTHC: Oh I’m so excited for your AF to show up. Maybe we should start threatening her like we did last time so she knows that a late entrance to the Panty party is poor form and won’t be accepted around here. So odd that you mention the galloping heartbeat as that’s exactly how DH said it sounded to him. I was too busy crying to think about what it sounded like and was just over the moon everything was OK.

Quartz: Happy Birthday for yesterday hon, hope you had a great dinner and was spoilt by your hubby. How are you feeling, any m/s yet?

Peonies: What fabulous news about your follies. So glad to hear they are all progressing nicely and at the same growth stage. Hope they can let you know sooner rather than later the date for your EPU so you and DH can plan work etc. It makes it harder to plan when both you and DH are having procedures? Did you have to arrange for someone to pick you both up after the procedures?

Mac8: Oh i would be horrified if i bumped into someone i knew at my clinic, it’s always been such a big fear of mine as our IVF journey is very private, not even our families know about it. Have you started the FSH now?

Traveler: Oh those shows with IVF in it make me so angry, they make out that its so simple and then bang your pregnant. I think its these kind of shows that give everyone the ideas that IVF is so simple and is an OPTION and easy way for people to have a baby.

Felicita: how are you going? I love your theory behind the NT scan, i am having one purely because it’s a another chance i get to see bub plus i want to just double check everything is OK. I would prefer to know sooner rather than later.

Bebe: Have you had your Anaotomy scan yet? Are you going to find out the sex? Have you settled into your new place now?

Keleblle: how are you feeling hon? Any m/s yet? Not long to go until your scan, i can’t wait to see if you have 1 or 2 in there.

Catemer, Nattie & Paddlegirl: Hope the TWW is dragging too much for you ladies.

Hi to Nessika, Nat, Bebe & Lilac.

AFM: 10 weeks today, and the time feels like it is dragging. Yesterday was the first day in 5 weeks that i haven’t thrown up and had bad nausea so naturally i worried all day that’s something was wrong, but it seems to be back again today. IVF has made me into a total paranoid crazy person. I have another scan in 10 days and then the week after Easter my NT scan.

    Hi everyone

I've been very hectic lately. I haven't had time to read or sit. Just a quicky today.

Hope everyone are well. Best of luck to all who are ETing, congrats to all BFP, and sticky baby dust to all in TWW.

PS went to clairvoyant and she said I have 1 child in my life that is mine. I hadn't even told her what is going on. When I did she said yes it is definitely 1 child. I am so happy and excited. She said it will happen in 5 weeks or 5 months. I had chosen end of April for my next FET.
    I'll be back later

    Michelle
