So sorry lola, big, big hugs to you. Stupid IVF.

AFM - I have been terrified all weekend and again today. Had some spotting and huge cramps in my back, groin and tummy. Am on total knicker watch at the moment. Constantly thinking about if and when I should call my nurse. I just don't wanna panic for nothing, but also don't want to think I am still preggers if I am not. Like I said to lola STUPID IVF. It's a bloody roller coaster.

Oh boy, I have lots to catch up on!

Bebe- Belated congrats on your BFP!! I hope those cramps are just stretching pains and everything is fine with bubba. By the way, I loved your version of 'Twas the night before xmas' in your TTC diary . And thanks for taking care of the roll call, I'm not territorial about it, so go for it anytime. Our fancy dress outfits turned out great, I being the "good" one went as a beauty pageant contestant "Miss Goody-two-shoes" and DH being the "bad" one was Charlie Sheen. I made up the bowling shirt for him with the alternate panels, like he wore in 2 & 1/2 Men. It wasn't bad for a Fri nite last minute effort.

Lola- Huge hugs to you, what a lousy early xmas present that is. I hope having your family around to keep you occupied, and watching the xmas excitement build for your DS helps take the sting away.

EO- wow, that new test to indicate the presence of endo sounds amazing! What a breakthrough that is . I hope it comes back in the normal range for you so a lap isn't necessary . Had my PGD session today, but I already knew 90% of what they went through. Now just have to wait til Jan 3rd to get going!

Angelanathan- hope the TWW is being kind to you

Crofty- I did a 3WW once because I was o/seas when my BT was due and it was HELL! What is the dose of your pregnyl boosters? If its 1500, that'll be gone in 4-5 days. I hope you are already UTD as we speak I didn't actually wear 2 different outfits the day of the wedding & the fancy dress party. I cheated and did a 2-for-1! The dress I wore at the wedding doubled as a formal dress for a beauty pageant queen. I threw on a sash, long blonde wig & tiara- and voila, done!

Felicita- I was wondering where you'd been! Are you still planning a Jan cycle?

Traveler- are you still pinching yourself? What date is your scan set for?

AFM- Sorry for the long absence, things seem to be crazy at the moment! The training & meetings took up all last week, so I was starting extra early in the mornings to get some normal work done & on some days stayed back late as well. So draining! Then Fri I finished at 2pm and DH & I headed off to Jervis Bay on our camping trip. Yay for no rain, we had really gorgeous weather. I even went for a swim at the beach! We had such a good time and have already booked a spot at another camp site for next year.

As for my cycle, started pill popping today and will stop on the 29th Dec. I'll have a BT on Jan 3rd when my clinic re-opens. If all good I will start jabbing that day (antagonist cycle) and hopefully have EPU between Jan 15-17. All suitable embies will be biopsied at day 5 and frozen. It will take around 2 weeks to get our PGD results, then FET in Feb if we have a normal embie. Bring on the action!

Hi bebe - hope your symptoms have subsided, or they are a good sign!!!! I'm sure you'll feel so much better at your 7week scan to test everything is where it should be

Heya lindy - glad the party and wedding went well- very creative on the dress you doubled as goody two shoes, live the idea of the Charlie sheen look. Please tell me DH also had the boat shows with 3/4 sox!!! And what colors for the bowling shirt I guess tan/light blue !!!!

Afm - well happy to say I've made it this far (never got this far before - usually af has reared his ugly head well and truly by now) of course I'm going mad with every twinge/ stitch in my stomach, uterus and boobs, but I put all that down to the pregnyl and pessaries - I have read somewhere that the progesterone support does delay your AF???! By how long I don't know (as today would be day 30 for me if my calculations are correct) - i still have another week to go (now I wish I didn't have the pregnyl so I could be testing tomorrow - hahah- but I'm also glad that it has worked in holding off AF - so can't ask for much better at this stage!!!')

Has anyone else felt extremely tired from pregnyl/pessaries - I nearly slept ALL day on Saturday and nearly fell asleep at the movies in Friday night with the girls!!!! And that was in breaking dawn - what the!!!!

Hope everyone else is well and ready for Christmas - still praying to the baby gods that this is our BFP - please, please, please!!!!!

    lola77 -

I FINALLY have a treatment plan for my last cycle. My FS knows it's our last shot, so he wanted to consult with a few colleagues before finalising our treatment plan. He said that would take a week, so after a month I started prodding him. One of the specialists decided he wanted to see us, so after a quick trip to the GP to get a new referral we had our new FS appointment on Saturday.

Our next cycle is the same as the last one, but with everything tweaked just a little.
    - The new FS will be managing this cycle and doing the ET.
    - We're doing another down-reg cycle, and I start sniffing on Friday - 3 days away!
    - For the FSH we'll be using some new thing where you only have a dose every six days (instead of Gonal-F). I don't remember what the new thing is called. I think it started with a vowel.
    - For the lowish LH we'll be using Luveris (instead of Pregnyl).
    - For EPU/ET and probably scans we'll be using IVFA Kogarah/Maroubra (instead of Westmead) since that's where the new FS works, so that'll be a bit of a hike.
    - We're doing assisted hatching again.

I still get very down and upset most weeks, especially when my hormones are low. This past week's been OK since my hormones have been up for ovulation. I'd been putting off shaving my head again until after IVF, so I've been waiting 3 years now. (I have a silly reason for wanting hair when I have a baby). But I went and had it shaved 3 weeks ago. Part of moving on with my post-IVF life. There's so much we've been putting off. At least there's only a few more weeks of living life both as though IVF will work and as though IVF won't work.

The new FS agrees with the old one that this should be the last try with my eggs, so January is confirmed as our last cycle unless another door opens after this one closes.
