    Hi nattie,

I don't think that's uncommon, particularly if you were on any progesterone support.

    Sorry the iui didn't work

    Hi all
wow, this week has really flown by!

TTHC sorry about the chemical preg. tho its good to hear you are going ok . I dont know why AF was so late.... I hadnt done anything IVF related for three months so there shouldnt have been any leftover hormonal effects. As you say, I guess she was just being a bl00dy tease!

welcome Lillac. As for choosing a clinic: when we werent falling pregnant naturally, I asked my-then GP for a sperm analysis, the results showed DH sperm had low motility, and he then referred us to a fertility clinic, which we are continued to go to. Its convenient in some ways for me as they have a branch in Campbelltown and I work there 3 days/ week. I didnt really know how to go about finding out about clinics in terms of clinical approach etc

    Alison sorry about your BFN

EO, glad to hear about your boss coming round and being so understanding now.

Bella, hooray for the follies growing nicely! Good luck for EPU on Monday. Are you used to it yet? I was so nervous the first time, about going under, but was much more calm (knowing what to expect helps) the second.

AFM: had my blood test last Fri. Clinic rang and said I am good to go for a FET this month. So have another BT on Monday to check where my hormone levels are. I guess I'll have regular BTs then till I'm at the right hormone levels. Not quite sure what happens, as this is my first FET. This is our one and only frosty . Its good to get underway, been waiting a while for this cycle!

    Hi to everyone I've missed!

PS, does everyone else feel the same way... wish it would stop raining already!

Usually when I wake up for my middle-of-the-night pee I discover that I'm sooo hungry I can't get back to sleep. Eating cereal right now, despite having had two dinners last night (6pm apricot chicken, 9-10pm two bowls of pasta).

Still had two heartbeats visible at the Ob's yesterday. I liked the Dr (and so did DH) so we've found our specialist. Although my GP checked on the phone that the place was wheelchair accessible before writing the referral, when we got there we discovered that every possible entrance had a threshold step. Thankfully we store in the car a verandah post that I've cut down to make a small (100 mm high x 200 mm long) ramp. It's not a good gradient, but it can turn an impossible entrance into a manageable one. You won't believe how many places have a ramp all the way up to the one step at the doorway. OK, I've known of 2 such places (Wyong Golf Club since been fixed, Petersons Wines at Mudgee on a new building no less), but that probably means that there's a lot more around.

I'd been half on clexane since ET. FS said since my NK results were equivocal then I could do the prednisolone but not to worry about the clexane. I was too scared to stay off the clexane so used my various scripts starting the night before ET, and then I let the nurses tell him I was using it when I got my BFP. But since I ran out of the size 20 script and wasn't entirely sure I should be on it anyway I was using a size 40 clexane every day and a half or so lately, instead of daily. Discussed clexane with the Ob, and she's very much in support of using it for just about anything, thinks it helps the placenta be happy. So I can now confidently use the size 40 daily under her instructions.

Nattie84 - I have huge marathon cycles after fertility treatment (sometimes up to 80+ days!) but that's normal for me as I have PCOS and don't ovulate on my own. Chat to your FN or FS about it if you're worried, but they'll probably tell you it's normal.

Felicita - everytime I'm UTD, the hunger hits me like never before. It's like I just can't fill myself... Guess that explains why I've put on so much weight during the last year and 1/2. Glad to hear everything is going well so far, hoping and praying things continue to go smoothly for you!! Will you find out the sexes?

TTHC- poo to the chem pg. Your strength is amazing! I agree with your FS, best to wait it out a cycle & let your body normalise before another try. With all those frosties, you're getting a bub sometime soon and that nursery won't be emtpy long. Good to hear your DS is so excited about his big boy room!

Bella- go follies go! I hope your subsequent scans show everything is growing at the right pace. Good luck for EPU if I don't post beforehand!

Catemer- sorry it was a confirmed BFN . Being able to start a FET straight away is fantastic though, nothing like getting straight back on the horse to ease the sting of a dud cycle.

Quartz- congrats on being PUPO! Seriously, these last 2 simply HAVE to result in a baby. Super sticky baby dust to you

Catfroggy- great egg haul! What was the fert rate? Hope you have a perfect embie ready for ET.

Peonies- oh sorry to hear you're still in limbo on the donor sperm. Stupid policies grrr! At least your case is making them reconsider it. Hoping you get the green light soon hun.

EO- wow, what a complete 180 turn from your boss! Just as well you told him, and how excellent that you can work from home. Did you have to come up with a cover story to explain that to your colleagues? Shopping was put on hold, it was too damn cold in Kelowna to walk to the mall & back. I'm in LA now, so will make up for it here .

Alison- rotten BFN, I hope that was your last one. You'd be surprised how quickly the time passes when you take a few months break between cycles. I hope the DHEA will work miracles for you.

PinkB- beautiful photos . Thank you so much for sharing! So nice to put a pretty face to the username and gee you looked fresh as a daisy. Would not have guessed you'd just given birth!

Bebe- Good luck with your property hunting, hope its not too stressful & you have no trouble getting a lease. Woo-Hoo for the babymoon all set! DH & I are going to have one too, I can't decide between Maldives & Bora Bora (yep we're talking dream holiday material )... better get UTD first though hey!

Lillac- Hi & welcome aboard! Sorry you find yourself needing ICSI, but this is the best place for help & support. With regards to clinic choice, I didn't really seek out one to start with. Just went with whoever my GP referred me to. I did switch after 3 failed cycles to Genea, and have to say they are superior to my old clinic.

Nat- how's the O tracking going? Hope you've got some time in your busy schedule to BD like rabbits hehe!

Nattie- yes, AF can be delayed if you've been on prog support. Sorry to hear the IUI wasn't successful. Will you try that again or move onto IVF?

Paddlegirl- hooray for the cycle going ahead! Hope your body cooperates and ovulates when you expect

Felicita- yay for seeing the bubs again with your OB, and yay for finding one you like first go! Haha really does sound like you're eating for 3.

Hi to Crofty, Jeb, Wishing4, Lola, and the girls I've missed

AFM- AF arrived a few days ago & I've starting taking the pills for my medicated FET. I'm having a scan & BT the day after I get home from this trip (10th Mar). Not long now til I bring home my first PGD frosty!

Now to go back and find the roll call buried under all these new posts...

LindyLou - Glad you are on track for your FET this month. Hope you're enjoying yourself in Canada...not long til you hit the stores in LA. I do love shopping in the US - we try to go back once a year to visit DH's family and I always come home with a bursting suitcase!

Felicita - Yay for 2 heart beats... So glad you like your OB, hopefully they'll fix up the door so you don't need your verandah post every visit!?

Paddlegirl - I've got my fingers crossed that this FET is the one for you. Glad you are cycling again. Do you do your BTs at Parra? I can't remember. Hopefully Dr B can work his magic for us both this month

EO - Hope you're feeling OK. Pleased to hear your boss is being more reasonable. Will be thinking of you on Monday and can't wait to hear about the scan

Quartz - COngrats on being PUPO! Sending tons of baby dust your way

Kelbelle - mustn't be too long until your BT?

Traveler - Hope you're doing OK. has your spotting finally stopped?

TTHC - Sorry you are not able to cycle again this month. Glad you are keeping busy decorating your DS's room. I'm sure it won't be long until your nursery will have a beautiful bub in it again

Peonies - Yay for changing the policy! Have you heard if you are able to cycle this month?

Mac8 - How are you going with the pill popping? When will you start Lucrin?

Lola - How did your meeting with the Bubhubbers go?

WIshing 4 - Hope you had a lovely visit with your sister.

Alison12 - so sorry to hear it was a BFN. Hope you & DH are taking care of each other. Do you have a follow up appt with FS?

Catfroggy - Congrats on your egg haul - have you heard how they're doing?

PinkB - Hope you and your precious new bub are well and you're settling into being a mum of 2

Lillac - Welcome to our thread. Sorry to hear you're heading down the IVF road. A friend of mine recommended her FS to me but the wait was so long (and we'd already waited 2 years of TTC without success) for that FS that I went with another at the clinic. He is great though, I really like him - only problem is I'm not pg yet. I think if this cycle isn't successful I may look at changing to Genea. Have only heard wonderful things about them.

Nat84u - What's happening with you? Hope your BT shows your O'ed

Catemer - So sorry about the BFN. Hope you and your DP are OK.

Bebehvala - Sorry to hear your MS returned. I hope it goes away again soon. Glad you found a travel insurance deal you're happy with.

No doubt I've missed someone - it's so busy in here...but a big hi to anyone I did miss...

AFM - Scan and BT this am. Heaps of follies on left ovary, not as many on right. Got a bit worried as biggest was 16-17mm and lots of smaller ones from 9-15mm and nurse thought they may want to delay EPU til Wed. But E2 (?) levels show that I can go ahead with EPU on Monday so I trigger tomorrow night. I was so relieved, really did not want to keep jabbing. So over it. Also woke up with a stomach virus today, had to leave work at 9.30 this morning. Ugh. We are also expecting to be cut off if W'gamba Dam spills. Our home won't flood, but the 3 roads in and out of our town will almost certainly go under. Hopefully it all subsides by the time I need to leave for hospital on Monday

hi lindylou thanks for adding me to the roll call. yes i really am in limbo land. we have not made a decision when we will give it our first shot. probably in May because DH wants to go away over Easter. I am becoming impatient but he seems to think it will be his last holiday for a while.

thanks ladies for the words about the clinics etc I keep hearing about Genea a lot. The FS we had been seeing at the women's hospital said that overall most of the clinics in sydney have similar success rates.. the funny thing is that he was trying to sound impartial and neutral in his job at the health service but in reality i suspect he gets a lot of patients following him to IVFA (it has worked with me too of course!)

I am trying to get used to the lingo but I still haven't worked out what PUPO , PDG and EPU is!!!

    Hi and welcome,

For us choosing a clinic was done on a referral by my SIL. I had choses Genea based on stats, but went with my SIL's clinic and then after 1 cycle and a few stuff ups and my FS really annoying me I made the switch to Genea and it was an overwhelming better experience. Yes we paid a little more $$, but their success rates are better.

    To help you

PUPO = Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise. We use the term when you've had ET

    EPU = Egg Pick Up

PDG = Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis. It's a technique to test embryos for genetic disorders. [Felicita can explain it WAY better]

Good luck with your hopefully very short journey.

gals, aint this weather just super annoying!! My MIL was going away this weekend and I was due to have the house to myself [my BIL is also away], but alas her trip was cancelled as the roads are closed where they had to travel.. POOOOOO!!

Hope you all stay warm and dry this weekend whatever you're up to.
