Hey TTHC - yes we must have been! Awsome news on your blasts!!! Sounds like this cycle was a winner. Sending you loads of sticky vibes!
My AF is due this week but I have to get some more tests done before I can actually start a cylce, so will be next month. Guess a good thing is my cycles are pretty short - 25 days. Although that apparently is a symptom of low AMH so it's a double edged sword!!!

Peonies - I asked my FS about this too, what I should do to prep myself for starting... he said apart from the pre-conception multi-vitamin I'm taking to just generally take care of myself, eat well, excercise, get sleep - but that's more for general wellbeing than anything else and he said that the odd glass of wine is totally fine, especially if it helps to wind down and relax. It's the mental drain and anxiety that can really take the most toll. And if you go with red wine... claim the anti-oxidents!

TTHC - hehe, we crossed posts again! Fantastic news about your emby babe!!
Mac - funny you should say that. I just told DH if he has to drink make it red wine, not beer ... at least red wine has anti oxidants in it. I see no nutritional value in beer at all.

Thanks for that advice. Actually, I must admit - I am a drinker. Quite partial to wine really. But the FS said as long as it wasn't excessive, which it isn't, he saw no problem. But I thought I'd cut it out (ok, right down anyway) from next week on.

I used to smoke but quit last year just when we decided to start trying - unfortunately the discovery of the fibroids by my GP and then the downward spiral from there meant we never got to "try" anyway. But I'm glad I stopped smoking ... and through all that too!

We'll see in a few weeks if it has made any difference. We have unexplained infertility.
The funny thing is that on my first cycle I did nothing special. I'd been on holiday to Phuket the week before starting and been drunk and smoking for most of that. I gave up smoking while I was on lucrin but before I started FSH. I had done 6 months of TCM and acupuncture but had stopped that about 2 months before as, at the time, we only had an MFI issue.

So no effort and I got pregnant. Go figure!

Maybe that's what I need, a holiday, and poof! I'll be pregnant

Firstly, to Wishing4. Sorry your IVF journey has been such a long one. It's great that you've found a wonderful ED. I'm sorry for your BFN this week. In my experience the blood test is usually accurate. Did they explain why they are doing a follow up one on Thursday?

Jeb - That's great that you are doing back to back cycles. It really seems to help some women emotionally with moving on from a BFN. Fingers crossed this is your lucky one, and you get some frosties to boot!

Felicita & EO - Hope you are both well with your bubs on board

Lola77 - . I'm so sorry AF showed up. Look after yourself.

Crofty - good to see you back My FS has put me on 5mg of Folic Acid too - something about me not absorbing enough? It's 10 times to normal dose Good luck with your gyno appt tomorrow.

Nat - Congrats on losing 1.7kg! Great job

Alison - How did transfer go today?

TTHC - Congrats PUPO lady! And 6 frozen - how wonderful!Dr B is my FS. I love him...he is so funny and always puts us at ease. I hate to think about changing FS, but if this cycle doesn't work for us I will be seeking a 2nd opinion. I know what you mean about moving a millimetre during acu - sooo painful!

LindyLou - Have a fab time up in the great white north! Hope you can find time to squeeze in some sightseeing

Catemer - How is your DP going in her 2WW?

Peonies - have a great weekend in Canberra visiting your parents. How annoying to have your work friend making comments like she did. I often get "Oh don't worry, your whole family is really fertile, you'll be fine." Even my mother, who knows the full story can't help herself from saying helpful things like "Your father just looked sideways at me and I was pregnant."

Mac8 - What a feel good story about having success after 5 years. Gives us all hope

Traveler - the bleeding stops soon. It's hard for me to hear pg announcements at the best of times, I can't imagine how upsetting it's be for you at the moment

Hi to everyone else - this thread is hard to keep track of at the moment!

AFM - Still jabbing away. So far so good. BT on Monday to see how the down regging is going and when I should start Gonal F. AF is due today and I've heard Lucrin can delay her. Even having been told I have about a 3% chance of a natural pg, I still manage to allow the slightest hope to start creeping in that it might actually happen (despite having all my 'AF is almost here' symptoms!). When will I learn!!??

Lola-Come to think of it, I too was overseas the month before we cycled for DS! & would have had a few cocktails etc...!

Oh and in May last year we were overseas again & June cycle resulted with our twins!

Maybe it's us being nice & relaxed after a holiday!? I think you're on to something!!!

    Hi ladies,
Would you mind if I join in?
I reconize few names in here. I used this thread a while ago, and had a BFP last Febuary. I am now the proud mummy of Louise, born in Oct 11.
DH and I really want to have another child and as I am 40 (tic tic tic) we thought that we may as well start trying ASAP.
We had a FS appointment today and he said that we can start now.
So I had a BT to see if I have ovulated already (I stopped breastfeeding only a week ago and still haven't had AF). I am waiting for the phone call tomorrow to see if I can start Puregon.
It still feels unreal as I thought that FS would tell us that we had to wait few months or so. But I feel really excited and ready
I can believe I am doing that again!!!!

Bella - thanks! Oh, and I would never call that girl a friend. After I came back from my surgery (which resulted in an emergency situation, where I nearly died from internal bleeding and was rushed to another hospital for life-saving emergency surgery - which the work team were told about) she did not even say "hello" or "welcome back" or "glad you're not dead" or anything, not a word. So basically I'm extremely relieved that she's now gone on leave, if that doesn't sound too b*t%hy!
Anyway, how exciting that you're actually doing something. Don't know whether it's better to wish your AF would hurry up or not come at all!

catfroggy and wishing4 - a big welcome to you both!

Hey all, on phone so too hard to do personals..

Well blood test back and complete BFN..my little emby didn't even implant

But onwards and upwards to cycle 2

Can I be updated to sniffing from Feb 20 ( we will be looking at EPU somewhere around 19th march)

Feeling hopeful but very very realistic this time (we have been advised to put 2 embryos in)

Congrats tthc on such wonderful emby results!!!

Just jumping in on the diet changes conversation, my FS too said that my eggs won't be improved by changing my diet, and just like Lola and tthc, we fell pregnant with DS in a cycle straight after being os!!!

Meanwhile there is an anti smoking add in tv at the moment where the guy stops smoking and a year later is holding a baby, so DH looks at me and says "is that what we need to do, take up smoking so that we can quit and fall pregnant?!!!"

Hi everyone, on my mobile so can't really do personals, but just wanted to say we're all here for you Lola. I know I'm only new in here, but everyone seems really supportive, and I am sure that no matter what everyone here will give you the support you need, whatever your decision about the future is.

AFM - DP seems to be coping really well with the tww. Me on the other hand has jumped the gun ever so slightly. I can't help it but I just want to kiss her tummy for luck every time I see her! She is totally exhausted today and says she never realized how exhausting taking it easy was! She has also been really famished and when I got home from work and asked what she had eaten today she rattled off a list of things that sounded like the entire contents of our pantry! She also has really sore (.)(.) 's, and is peeing like every 5 seconds! Despite me swearing I wasn't going to symptom spot this time around, I can't help but notice everything. Even her sense of smell has gotten better ( this happened too the first iudi cycle where she had the mc at 4 and a bit weeks).

Why are all the side effects of the crinone he same as pregnancy symptoms? Is it just the worlds cruel way of teasing us more during this process?
